- In a major landslide damaged due to incessant rain, there was a report of partial collapse of the football ground retaining wall and gallery at Lakhuti Village under 39 A/C, Wokha District which was constructed with an amount of Rs 5 crore funded under Khelo India scheme.Speaking to NLTV, Contractor of the said project, Mhonthung Lotha said that he completed the construction in 18 months, before the during of 2 years, following all specifications of the project. He further expressed dismayed that out of the 5 crore amount , he had to execute the work with only 50% of the amount after deductions from various agencies. But nevertheless, he pointed that the construction completed with quality workmanship. He also assured to undertake necessary steps in correcting the affected areas along with Department concern wherever needed.

Ok you got only Rs.2.5 crores out of the total Fund sanctioned ie Rs.5 Crores but the work done doesn't seems not exceed Rs. 1 crore. This contractor must be booked for corruption including those who deducted the 50℅ of the fund sanctioned. Thorough investigation should be done on the fund utilization.
Our style of contract work is like, Contractor is the engineer, architect, finincial advisor, supplier, worker of different level, and applying the principles of Economics (Local) more than required.
Hence giving little importance on safety and guarantee of the Work Done. 🤷🤷🤷

The concerned village organization should file RTI in Youth Resource Department and investigate into the implementation whether the work was carried out in accordance to the DPR.

Lothas and sema contractors are the worst contractors when it comes to quality work. Just observe anywhere the quality of workmanship done by These two tribes contractor.
Please enlighten us about any 1st class job done by any rest Naga tribe contractors in Nagaland for public welfare. For us, all the Naga contractors are same, equally corrupted like the ministers, mlas, departmental officers.
As per reliable sources, out of 100% project cost contractors are compelled to give 39% to department, party, minister etc. Out of 61% , some contractors pay 2 or 3 % to NSCNs groups... Non of the contractors give statements about the illegal taxation they give to department to get the contract. So the state government cannot punish the contractors even if no actual work is done but clears the remaining pending bills once paper work is completed 😂
