Every AFSC has a "tech school" that Airman undergo before they reach active duty status and PSC to their first base. CCt's have an extensive and rigorous pipeline before you are awarded your beret and report to your first base. This includes in the following order: 10 day orientation at Lackland AFB (indoc); CCT Operator Course at Keesler AFB; Army Airborne School at Fort Benning; Air Force Basic Survival School at Fairchild AFB; Lastly, CCT School at Pope AFB, the longest portion at 84 days.
Enjoyed the history.
