Givēon's last two years are a lot like the early-00s Lakers: wins after wins after wins. First was that feature on Drake’s “Chicago Freestyle.” Then he dropped his ‘Take Time’ and ‘When It’s All Said and Done’ EPs, collectively clocking a 100 million streams. That was enough to earn him a Vevo DSCVR Artists To Watch 2021 invite. Next, “Heartbreak Anniversary” topped the R&B charts. If you didn’t know him by then, his feature on Biebs' “Peaches” did the trick - to the tune of more than a billion streams. Now the 27-year-old is our latest LIFT artist. Last month we linked up with the baritone singer just a few LA freeway exits north of his Long Beach hometown. Together we shot a few incredible performances of tracks from his ‘Give or Take’ album, which arrived to cheers. Now sit back and watch all three - "Make You Mine," "Lie Again," and "For Tonight."

It’s one thing to make a good song, but to be able to consistently perform those songs live and make em sound EVEN BETTER than the recorded versions is insane! Giveon is so talented and has one of the best voices in r&b/hip-hop right now. Seeing him climb the ranks over the years and slowly show everybody what he’s really about has been nothing short of inspiring to me as both a fan and a new small artist myself. Hard work pays off, and he had to work for every single thing he has today. Well done, can’t wait to see where you go next!
