Nah, it's just that R-77, R-Darter/Derby, PL-12, and MICA shit away their speed too quickly. Believe it or not, Aim-120A/B's kinetic performance is pretty much in-line with what you'd expect from a Sparrow, minus the added agility and acceleration that is. Only missile that really competes with (And kinda out-performs) AMRAAM at long range right now is AAM-4
@@Registered_Simp the P/12 and Derby have the best energy retention but the pl12 only comes in sets of 2 while the Derby is usually changed for the aim 120s as it lofts insanely hard making it close range kind mid cause it glitched and for the first 2 seconds trys to loft at a guy coming headon at 5km

That would be AAM-4 (At higher altitudes). PL-12 is in a similar boat to R-77, but shits away a bit less speed. Aim-120A/B matches it out to 20km, and outperforms it at or beyond 30km.
