The challenges should be intrinsic like in the first game, not extrinsic gatekeepers. That's enough to put me off as I have neither interest nor time for grinding in a couch coop game. Thanks for the succinct review

It looks a lot like Overcooked, game from the same developer. If it is anything like Overcooked, then it is more recommended to couples who play together, big families, and people who frequently have friends over. Playing these types of games alone is not that fun.

One reason I liked the first Moving Out was that you weren't required to get certain rankings on the levels to progress. That's what made me basically rage quit Overcooked 1 and 2. Hearing that this game has that crap doesn't excite me. Hopefully, the ranks you need aren't as demanding/annoying as the ones in Overcooked

Definitely getting this, might wait for a sale though. Although the skill level gate keeping is a bit annoying for someone who exclusively played the first one with single-digit aged children. The hectic race against the clock is one of the reasons we didn't take to Overcooked so much. [even with assist mode settings] Hope that there are at least some sort of easy mode settings for the people who don't care about beating the game "the real way".

The online play is the main added feature for this sequel so it not being part of this review is pretty disappointing.
