Plenty of currently top idols left, got rejected or didn't go to JYP. But for the better obviously now that they're doing well on their on.
No, it doesn't surprise me. I think Hotel del luna storyline and execution is way better than Arthdal Chronicles. So its higher rating is understandable. Moreover it's more enjoyable for me.

Sorry I dont agree with you, arthdale chronicles is more unpredictable and there are more plot twists. I watched over 200 k drama(probably) when I was 6 with my family till now(19) I still think arthdale chronicles storyline is better but hotel is better for those who want to have a calm fun time because theres alot of easy going and comedy scenes
Arthdale chronicles is impossible for casual people who are into k drama. It will always be expanded and it will take quite some investment for someone to get into it. For example, look at six flying dragons everyone complained about it being so extended/dragged until they put their time into it. Six flying dragons was the number 1 best k drama for 2015-2016 and is still prob one of the highest rating till now with 50 episodes which arthdale chronicles will soon have it

Hotel Del Luna has the same feel to it as the KDrama Goblin, and a similarly talent-heavy cast. It also reminds me of xxxHolic, and IU is just breathtakingly beautiful. The chemistry between the main actors is engaging, and the writing of the show is thankfully of high quality. The cinematography is also world class. This show is art.

I made a comparison and goblin really captured my heart and gave great impacts to me that i felt empty for a few days after i finished watching it. The fact that this drama rated higher than 'Arthdal Chronicles' is not a surprise to me. I watched the first 3 episodes of Arthdal and had to stop. There were too many characters and too many back stories to keep track of, I felt like needing to take notes for an upcoming test. It stopped being enjoyable for me personally. Hotel del Luna, on the other hand, was very well presented. IU and Yeo Jin Goo were the perfect leads to anchor the drama, they are brilliant actors and have amazing chemistry. Even though they are young, they were able to handle their respective roles maturely. The pacing was even throughout the series, thanks to the director. The supporting actors were also perfect for the respective roles. Everyone in this drama shined, whether they had 5 or 50 minute exposure. And let's not forget the amazing cinematography and costume designs. They were the cherries on top of a scrumptious cake. Watching HDL was an enjoyable experience for me.
Yeo JIn Goo is the most gorgeous and sexiest man in Korea IMO and that voice. Makes you melt like ice cream. He is also very talent and has a great future - LOVED him in the Crowned Clown.
I only knew IU before I watched this drama, but Yeo Jingoo totally stole my heart. He portrayed his character so sooo well, he's such a great actor and so handsome. His acting has such maturity even though he's merely 22. I think he'll have a great future ahead in this industry. I'm always cheering for him 😍😍💜💜

Maaan, I can't stop crying.😭 Kdrama of all times indeed!!!💜 This one is a roller coaster ride, I got shocked, I laughed, cried, fell in love and adapted life learnings. Just like what people says, "you watch the same film in different time and you'll perceive it differently everytime you watch it". But here's the thing, I still can't tell if: 1. Chan Seong is dreaming that he met Man Weol's reincarnation. 2. They still haven't met at all. 3. Chan Seong and Man Weol were narrating how they will meet in the future.

Arthdal was an amazing show. It's in it's own league of fierce acting, beautiful cinematography and it's not an ordinary love story that's fluffy and cute. It showed the ugliness of humanity and tribalism. It shows the ugliness of greed, corruption. How people can find silly reasons to destroy each other for their own gain. HDL was fun to watch but arthdal was for me a really interesting show. It's a shame people stopped watching it because of a divorce that isnt their own 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️. Song Joongki did a marvelous job playing both Saya and Eunsom

Arthdal was an amazing show. It's in it's own league of fierce acting, beautiful cinematography and it's not an ordinary love story that's fluffy and cute. It showed the ugliness of humanity and tribalism. It shows the ugliness of greed, corruption. How people can find silly reasons to destroy each other for their own gain. HDL was fun to watch but arthdal was for me a really interesting show. It's a shame people stopped watching it because of a divorce that isnt their own 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️. Song Joongki did a marvelous job playing both Saya and Eunsom
