    I've owned 19 cars in my lifetime. 10 have been Hondas and 8 of them have been Acuras. Currently own a '20 Accord Touring 2.0T. I love this car. It is so much car for the money. Have driven nothing but V6 Hondas/Acuras since '02 and swore I'd never go back to a 4 cylinder. When the '18 Accords came out with no V6 option, I was disappointed. Had a '16 Acura TLX V6 Advance and was looking to replace it with a slightly used '19 TLX V6 Advance but could not find one to suit me after months of searching. Considered the Accord 2.0T but couldn't wrap my brain around going back to a 4 cylinder. I finally took one for a test drive and realized that I had not given the 2.0T engine enough credit. I ended up buying my CPO '20 Touring model with 7k miles on it. Now, a year later I am so glad I did. The more I drive this car, the more I love it. Like you, my gripes are few but my praises are many. My biggest gripes are the lackluster sound system, which is far inferior to my TLX, and the smallish gas tank. But other than that, I am very, very pleased with my purchase. The 2.0T has plenty of power and I do not miss my V6 engines, other than the powerful growl that they made. Great driving car. Mine is Lunar Silver with the gray leather. Hope you're still enjoying yours.

    A great review! My 2021 Honda Accord 2.0t Sport in still night blue, same as yours. A few differences are the new wider front facia with full LED head lights and round fog lights. Mine has wireless Car Play and Android Auto also black contrast color for the shark fin, rear spoiler and outside mirrors. I notice there is a lot less wind noise than my trade-in (2018 Honda Accord CVT 1.5T). The feedback to steering is the best of any car I've driven. • @PaulsPlace

      I’ll keep the 19s. Like I said, it rides better than the Elantra I replaced and is about the same noise level. I’ll put a nice set of Goodyear’s on before winter and that should take care of both of the issues. Tires make a huge difference.

  • @TheGman2421
    @TheGman2421 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Paul, I'm wondering if your tires are "Michelin Green-X" which my 2018 Accord EXL came with? I totally agree with you about the tires if you have the same type. They're made out of a new compound which is supposed to increase the rollability of the tire with increased gas mileage, but it must be a harder compound which makes the ride suck, go figure. I plan on changing my tires (I've had my car for just about 4 years (29,000 miles) so this Spring will be a good time for me. As for gas mileage (I have the 2.0T engine) I can't complain and regularly hit an overall mileage of 30.0 (trips of 500 - 1,000 miles) so I'm happy with it. As for rattles, not a problem on my 2018. As for the push button transmission, once you get use to it - a non-issue but like you would prefer the standard type shift knob. The 10 speed transmission has been great with no problems. Hope that you are enjoying your Honda.

    I just got a 2.0t sport in San Marino red and the only thing I don't like is how Honda didn't do anything to separate the 1.5t sport from the 2.0t sport (other than a small 2.0t badge). It would be similar to Ford having the V6 and GT mustangs look identical outside. To me, the car blends in too much.

    Hey man I need some advice on a couple of things.... is there a big difference between 1.5 and 2.0 for a 2020 accord and secondly would you prefer the car you have (accord with 2.0) or the new civic sport ( also 2.0). I'm really undecided between the 2... civics are cheaper brand new (2023) compared to a used 2020 or 2021 accord.

    • @PaulsPlace
      @PaulsPlace  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the delayed reply. Test drive them both and see which one suits you better! The extra power on the 2.0T Accord is really addicting, but the fuel mileage is pretty bad. Personally, I'd wait until the Civic hybrid comes out. It'll be quick, get like 50 MPG, and be relatively affordable.
