This is a huge lie... If you go to college and choose the correct degree, it most definitely guarantees you a great future as long as you don't invalidate your license (felonies, malpractice, etc). I grew up as a black, unadopted orphan and now I'm a doctor. All of my black friends in college that majored in engineering and medicine are doing well. The main issue is that alot of black people are going to college now, but are majoring in music, education, etc. There is a reason why Asians mostly only major in law, medicine, and engineering and they are the richest race in the United States of America. Dr. Umar saying that the richest people in the nation didn't go to college is misleading because rn there are over 600k millennial first generation millionaires and a most of them did go to school. I agree if you are born into money, you don’t have to do anything to be rich, but only approximately 5% of all current millionaires are “old money,” the rest were self-made.

This is the very reason why as a black man I never went to college I just couldn't get past the part of owing that much in debt.

Dr. Johnson is such a prolific speaker. It's refreshing! He not only talks the talk; he walks the walk by using his professional expertise and education to work with children and parents to help better our condition in America. The FDMG Academy will come to fruition; let's keep pushing!
I'm proud of him--he inspires me to get involved, be an advocate for the underserved, and take a more active role in using my several degrees to make a difference.
Thanks, Dr. Umar--Keep up the good work, my African brother...

Black people really need to LISTEN to Dr. Johnson. I'm a DJ, has been for 35 years and the only people who will not support me is Black people. And the reason for that is because they don't know me. I have the skill to do the same or better than the rich white DJ. I'm not looking to get rich, I just want to entertain black people only. We need to support each other.

This school system of this world is designed to keep the masses down. It keeps us from questioning things and developing a simple sense of reasoning. Dr. Umar is apart of the few percent who see the matrix for what it is. Those who don't have eyes to see just can't see the vision of what he's saying. Thumbs up my brother from your sister in Jamaica the land of wood and water and beautiful resources yet here we are depending on a system that was designed to keep us dependent rather than independent.

How is it a war? He's talking about competing with the rest of the world base on a social economic level
Hence! He's never mentions anything about attacking other races of people. But it was ok for white supremacy's snatching up Africans over 400 years ago,for enforcement of slavery. War comes in many forms. Not every war is a physical war. I'm not even sure what your position is,interms of who you are, or what type of relationship you're in. But black people have just as much rights to create their own wealth than any other race in this country. Stop thinking violently all of time. You'd just mention war is not a solution, while you're one of the supporters of the problem. You're putting ideas into none independent thinkers heads. Its ironic that,Latinos,Jews and Asians are running their independent businesses, without a commitment of physical war.
Its call competition!! How come you have never made any direct advance comment in personally to them, about how they're creating a war, because of self reliance independent business? But its not ok for black people not solutionalizing out their problems to prevent violence throughout their communities for the better.

Dr Johnson is a great scholar
the schooling system is built to teach you enough to be part of industry but not smart enough to get yourself out the bucket.

Very mind lifting interview with #DrUmarJohnson. Black people are good people and folks need to connect the spiritual, lifestyle and good eating habits as a one thought process as the Dr. stated. Great interview TWINS.

Profound answers and it also give us all a boost to push forward. Its not just info spew out, but its a necessity to keep it in our thought and use it as fuel to motivate our intentions.

I love an educated brotha but not the type that acts like their better than others because of it. I don't think Dr. Umar is arrogant though.

when he was talking about diet it got me.
i come from a poor working class family in manchester and going sleep for dinner wasn't a rare thing
processed foods, microwave foods being the best you ate that day.

I like your vision about how/what to teach our children Dr. Umar (from what I understand you are saying). You are talking like how we were post-slavery - Reconstruction era. We were more unified then. I hope we can get back to that place. 🙆🏾‍♀️
