In all of my years of garage sales, rummage sales, flea markets, swap meets and estate sales, I've never came across any knife or cleaver, so naturally rusty. But when all that thick rust is gone, it's not covered in deep rust pits to where it is unusable. Weird. But yet, so many internet knife restoration people seem to find them all of the time everywhere, 🤔.
@singleton_1_0 Or the ones where somebody with a camera is following a person, rummaging through a junk pile, or barn, and happens to find one sticking up out of the mud, thats been there for 100 years, and the rust is unnaturally bright green, yellow, and orange. And a couple of swipes with a wire brush and somehow no rust pits, after all that time. Amazing. Must be good steel.
