- “One of the most frightening things for me as an artist was that I dropped out of school,” says Joe Budden. "There was no fallback, that was plan A, B, and C." Budden came through to Styles P’s Juices For Life on Malcolm X Boulevard in Brooklyn to talk about his health, his newborn baby, and his evolution as a hip hop artist. Joe credits the birth of his son as the inspiration to “be more conscious” of the meals his family eats. Styles and Mrs. P hooked him up with a juice blend consisting of pineapple, banana, cantaloupe, and strawberries. Joe named it Budden Summer, a strong wordplay on Budding Summer. Candace M. Braddock Vegan is not synonymous with healthy. You can be vegan while eating carbs and sugar all damn day, that's why we see skinny fat vegans all the time. Meat is healthy when it's not processed and it's the reason we have the brainpower we have. If our ancestors hadn't eaten meat, humans would never have developed the high functioning brains that we have to be able to make the conscientious decision to never eat meat.

The point I was making is there are a lot of vegans and vegetarians that try to shame people out of eating meat and Styles P and his wife were very loving and chose to educate Joe, not make him feel guilty for eating something that they don't.

What's cool about it is that there was genuine interest & curiosity matched with legitimate respect in that episode. No ego clash. No bully tactic. Just two talented musical artists with true respect & appreciation, along with Adjua Styles, talking about particular benefits suited towards Budden's(& those whom have the home + travel sagas) lifestyle. So, it's real & not a gimmick type of TH-cam series. This is the first ep that I've seen & I respect it. I wish your series luck P & Adjua.

Also I couldn't stop smiling when I saw how happy Joe was after making his own drink. When I went back to the old block on Chauncey visiting last year, I went to this location. The green shots are DOPE and the drink I had was delicious I can’t remember the name but I still have the menu somewhere. Definitely going back next time I visit the hometown. I wish there was one here in NC.

After being a fan of both Ghost and Joe since i was a kid, and especially after what Styles has been thru the last few years and what hes doing now, I was really getting misty-eye'd. Love to see his spirit so high and the teamwork/support with his wife. Its refreshing and i love this idea for a show.
