Guess I'm just an old hip hop fan. Sounds weird when someone doesn't know who Canibus is. He may not be big right now but back in the day he was one of the most feared rappers. He was the name to beat before Eminem. His style was ground breaking. Em has come a long way and stood the test of time. Honestly does not deserve to be compared to MGK. Respect to both these rappers for what they both have contributed to the game.

5:11 The whole Rip The Jacker references have to do with Canibus beef with LL Cool J. Before that LL Cool J had beef with Kool Moe Dee and made a diss track aimed at him called Jack The Ripper. Then when Canibus ended up having beef with LL Cool J and made a diss track called Second Round K.O., LL Cool J responded with a diss track called The Ripper Strikes Back and Canibus would later make another diss track called Rip The Jacker and would refer to himself by that name at times. Plus the rip the mic references again come from Canibus beef with LL Cool J who has a tattoo of a mic on his arm and that's how their beef started when Canibus had a verse on LL Cool J's song saying he wanted to borrow the mic on his arm

Canibus is actually a really dope rapper. One of the most complex out there. As far as technical rapping goes there aren't many that can compare to him

I hope you check out the back and forth between Mariah Carrey and Eminem soon. Mariah flopped with her "Obsessed" song. If you do react to it, watch the music video lol. She had an Eminem look a-alike in the music video. It was pretty cringe. After that, Em dropped one of my personal all time favorite disses ever with The Warning. Mariah was doing near weekly media tours giving interviews denying any relationship with Eminem and trash talking him. After 'The Warning', she was radio silent on all topics regarding Eminem. It was legendary.

Why people keep doing reactions to the Ballad, which isn't a diss track... Truck Turner was the first to do a Canibitch diss track.. Canibus - Dr. C PHD & Curriculum 101, are Eminem tracks that have several bars dissing Em. Note* Rip The Jacker is Canibus alter ego.

I think it was just… Unnecessary. Eminem had not mentioned Canibus for 5 years after their beef cooled down and Canibus made that song, mentioned Hailie and Proof, and decided to put D12 on it.

Canibus is an old school hip hop artist, bigger in the late 80s, early 90s. The music is Circus music, jabbing at Eminem as a clown. I honestly can't believe he's still alive and writing music. Loved him when I was a teenager, but there's really no place today for the old school hip hop artist.

Air Strike Pop Killer is Canibus’ best Em diss track. Eminem didn’t respond to that for a reason.
Not a Stan but having heard both, I dont think Air strike measured up to Canibitch imo. It certainly had some plenty solid shots but in the end it didnt offer enough provocation to warrant further response from Eminem or to be considered an escalation after Canibitch, it was like a kid who lost a fight and started running away yelling F U as he was going. I just dont think it was the zinger Canibus fans are trying to make it out to be.
That's no insult to Canibus, I will easily admit that he was the closest that ever got to defeating Eminem in a rap battle. Close but just not close enough imo.

@@James-pl5uc I'm fairly confident he did put out a powerful diss against Everlast, Idk the others tbh and I know Benzino and Ja Rule were personal due to the Source drama and dragging Haillie's name which triggered him hard. As for the timing I don't think it matters because it's not like beefs have a time limit whether they reply 2 weeks or 2 years from one another, not that I know what was going on in their lives at the time so I cant judge that either.
In all cases, what I care for is the music itself and all I have is Canibitch on one hand, Airstrike on the other. Putting them both in a void I feel the latter just wasn't strong enough to rebuff the former which meant no reply was needed imo.

im somebody who is having problems with this, would love to hear your answer
dispute it, when asked for reasoning, say fair use, then they will ask for an explanation why you believe it falls in that category. Answer that then the label will review it. They will either release the claim or the will say their claim is still intact and you can't receive revenue. Or they wont respond at all and after 30 days you will receive the revenue after AdSense conducts a short review.

this battle sucked, Canibus goes of topic, Eminems punchlines were mediocre at best plus he was also dissing Jermaine Dupri on the same record taking away from the Bis diss. Both did not focus their inner "2nd Round Ko" (Bis) or "the Sauce" (Em) on these tracks, they held back (a loss for Rap/Hip Hop). Only Eminem Stans think Em won, it was more of a popularity contest than a rap battle. No true Hip Hop head ever talks about this battle amongst the great historical rap battles and this reactor is cringe worthy trying so hard to assess the lyrics. The best line is Ems "I know how you jealous ones envy," a nod to Fat Joes 2nd album (arguably his best album artistically) but this went over the reactors & the heads of most Stans.
