What and awesome episode! Actually it might even be my favorite. Loved it, thank you Criner. Loved the way you were breaking things down and talking about their body language and stuff. They are sneaky critters the get killed!
I grew up as a western hunter , killed alot of dogs few cats but now I live out in this part of the country , it's cool to see the differences than back home , great video and very informative , keep em coming
Love your show and the way you explain your set up. Can you mention the sounds you use? (Specifically the volumes). I feel Ike I have trouble finding that happy medium of obnoxiously loud vs. to quiet to take advantage of the full range of the call. Thanks. Show is awesome!
I'm over on the edge of central and eastern Oklahoma and anywhere I think there's cats I put out the decoy that way when they stop and investigate there's something that catches their eye before they get a chance to see you
Ive called in a lot of coyotes and bobcats... But on bobcats ive killed them anywhere from 30 seconds to 15 minutes on a stand... There nothing like having a cat 3 steps from you. I like to get them in close and watch there body language some crawl in others stand tall and move slow, some walk in casually and relaxed flicking their tail. Keep it up buddy
Some very rarely come charging in and don't stop when you bark yip or yell full tilt right at you, had that on a tournament last year and that sucker was house cat sized like 13.5#
How critical is wearing all camo for coyote and bobcat hunting? Is scent control and minimizing movement more important? I ask because I see you are wearing a black hat with a logo, and a normal hoodie sweatshirt. Considering the blaze orange requirements, I’ve asked other experienced predator hunters if it really makes a huge difference if my chest rig is all black or not, as long as I am trying to break up my human silhouette, with the patterns on all the other stuff im wearing.
Pay attention to movement. Slow steady. Try to play shadows. Camo i like it but dont need it. There is so much we can do. Scent control is by playing the wind. Dont let them smell u.
@@Steve_Criner thanks for getting back to me. From what I can see in your videos and as described in your commentary, you are just as successful as all the others who are swearing by the idea of having matching camo outfits as a part of their strategy. Also, your video posts have value in repeat viewings, unlike the others demonstrating the electronic callers or focusing on other products used.
I guarantee I have a 40lbs cat behind my house in the pine thicket but can never get it to come to a call or decoy. I usually hunt the pasture down from it but, does anyone have any suggestions?

pro tip: watch movies on flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching a lot of movies lately.
@Charles Raylan definitely, I have been using Flixzone for months myself :)
I was chasing coyotes and shot a big male bobcat in Colorado. Now I’m hooked on all predator hunting. Thanks for the tips

What's your choice of caliber for cats and coyotes?
Good lord the speed of that second cat was just nerve wracking! Then the sudden stop when it got eyes on the decoy. 🎯😬
That was intense watching that cat slowly stalk the decoy and then it hears Steve....😱😬
I love this s___!
I’m really glad you started you tubing everything it makes it a lot easier to share with my buddies
Thx boss
What caliber do you recommend? I've got .223, thinking about a 22-250.
Either one will work fine
What do you get from the cats? Just the fur?
Believe it or not they taste pretty good. Cougars do too.
