After 8 years of studying Jon Bellion's music I've learned a thing or two about how he makes his magic. There are certain elements that he uses in almost every song. In this video I break down the secrets I've learned about Jon Bellion's music production and put them to the test making my own song in his style. As Jon’s touring guitar player for the the first 3 tapes and human condition and member of his band since we met in college I would like to give you my stamp of approval on this! ahaha That drum pocket and how you weave the vocals in there is really close to the way jon does it. What’s awesome is it sounds like it’s own thing! would love to make a jon style beat with you sometime. I’m a songwriter as well. Also some other things. I went to school with Jon and can tell you that he learned nothing in music college he didn’t go to school for music for performance he went for audio production. All he would do is create music everyday in his dorm and in those days all his creations sounded radio ready. Crazy!

If you don't have a drum pad, Ableton allows you to USE YOUR QWERTY KEYBOARD as a TOUCH SENSITIVE MIDI INPUT. So no more drawing in midi if you want to Play it in ... cuz sometimes you don't have your Push or midi keyboard with you 😎👍🎶⚡️

I've watched a lot of "Producer Tip" videos as I've been learning my craft, and while they all have helpful tips, it's rare that the song they show off at the end is something I actually like and want to produce myself. Hey can someone explain why when I watch some of Bellion videos I think he doesn't even use metronomes at all and I don't think he really cares about the tempo and I am not talking about using an already made sample in the project, starting a project by just playing some drums and some keys without using metronomes or even considering bpm, can anyone explain
