    What a great testimony of God blessing your faithfulness! I'm so impressed that when you started your debt-free journey and even today you place your tithe at the top of the budget. God bless you as you continue in your blog (I call it a ministry).

    I was $35k in credit card debt and that’s exactly what I did. Paid the smallest to the largest, and you’re right, it’s the best feel ever to pay them in full. Thank you for making this video.

    Thank you, Mary! When we got the Covid relief checks, I was able to start paying off a credit card that I just had not made ANY progress on. I was over the limit on it, and even though I kept paying extra, the interest was accruing faster than I could pay extra. I know exactly what you mean about that feeling of motivation that happens when you see the balance go down, finally. The wonderful thing for me, and I'm sure others, is that the less bills I have, the more money I can apply to paying off the remaining ones. I will soon be working on my home equity loan, which is my biggest bill, and I'm ready!

    I used to listen to Dave Ramsey on the radio, He had the same tips. People would call in when they had paid off all their debts. He would be so excited for them, no matter if the debt was $1000 or $100,000. So your tips really do work!

    Try and build an emergency fund if you can. Even if it's only a small amount each month put it to one side so if you need to have something repaired you can pay cash and not have to put it on credit. It's a good habit to get in to.

    Great tips and video! I really enjoy watching your videos. I make your sour dough biscuits very often and we all love them! I use my organic whole milk kefir for the milk. It is my favorite sour dough recipe. May God bless you and your family.

    Great tips! I do the same thing by applying extra on the smaller ones, then transferring that money to another bill when that first one gets paid off. Just paid my smaller one off this month...woo hoo! Now to pay off the credit card, then the car.

    Great tips! So happy for y’all! We completed out debt free journey in 8 yrs. That mortgage pay off felt like a ton of bricks lifted off my hubs. My frugalness is in my genes lol so it didn’t hurt me doing w/o extra things like it did my hubs at times but he got on board nonetheless and is grateful he did. We will never be a slave to debt again! Unless emergency like you said.

      If i have the money to pay off my car, should i just do it but have a dent in my savings?

    • @TheRoseHomestead
      @TheRoseHomestead  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a tough one. We actually have done that with the truck we had to purchase, however, if it had taken more than half of our savings, j would have been a little more reluctant. If memory serves me, we had received our taxes and it was nearly enough to pay it off so I just took the rest from savings. I would say to just crunch the numbers and make sure you are keeping enough in savings for emergencies and replace what you took out as soon as possible. Hope this made sense and helps you!
