The most brilliant thing about Norsemen is the series is a loop. The very last scene in season 3 leads directly into the first scene of season 1 episode 1.

Well...rapes are documented for thousands of years... The idea that we are different as a species today, than for some hundreds of years ago, is just stupid. People are just as smart or stupid as they were thousands of years ago. Most of us just have the advantage to use the technology and knowledge developed by a few smart people over the centuries. The smart people learns from the smart people before them, and discover new things. That`s how technology and philosophy evolves Most people today have a smartphone, but just a few people know how they work or how to build one. Go to a warzone and see....we are mostly the same. Religion and morality changes some over the years, but we are still the same people that fought with swords and arrows some centuries ago. We can be mean and we can be nice....as before.
So the rapist gets turned on by the struggle! This scene is really intelligent. "The lust for rape does not mean the lust for deflowering virgins. That lust is the rape of virginities, but not of virgins, so long as it takes place with their consent. The lust for rape meant here recoils from consent and is exacerbated by its absence. It is an ardent desire to rape women of any sort who are utterly unwilling and reject their advances, whether they are virgins, widows or wives. These men are like brigands or pirates who take delight in their seizures and plunder, but not in what is given them or is fairly acquired. They are like criminals who are agog for what is unlawful and forbidden, and spurn what is lawful and permitted. These rapists completely turn their backs on consent and are fired by resistance. If they do not observe any inward resistance, the ardour of their lust is at once quenched, like a fire dowsed with water" . Emanuel Swedenborg
Really depends on the rapist. Like murderers, rapists exist in a spectrum. What you have described is the type that desires power or are sadists. Some rapists like having sex any way they can.
Idk what kind of horrible sex you've been having but i can assure you that it isn't "better" to be a woman in this situation. No arousal = insanely painful. Also Liv being a horrible person, which is her entire character arc has nothing to do with "society" so idk what you're on about here, taking a funny scene and whining about your weird ideas which are completely false and unfounded aswell. "Societe shames mane for all" yeah i suppose that's why, so many rapists are just free to go because "it's wasn't his fault, that child was wearing a dress that was too short" "she shouldn't have been drinking "she was wearing so and so" "she said this and that". Or why the first question you always get asked by people when a man hit you is "but what did you do to make him do that tho ?" It's because men are always blamed, amirite ?
"just hangs there like a snail". That comment would cut deep to any man.
We needed a new season of this show
I love how everybody pitched in together to try and help the Dude out XD

Arvid could finish one "chore". And now he is running away from more chores.
What a great show - big fan of dry humor.....and maybe even English humor
This show resonated so hard in England. The style of humour was exactly our cuppa tea. Absolute salute to the Norwegians for this gem of a comedy.
Liv,s brilliant. ...and... it's...all...your...fault.
I love how they always use the term "penetrate" when referring to sex to make it as unsexy/funny as possible.
