Agreed. Tyler, princess and OT have the best dungeons. I hope the new tiers of the kingdom so the game also has really good dungeons like that. If they do, it might be the perfect Zelda game
Twilight Princess is my favorite Zelda game and a large portion of that opinion stems from the EXCELLENT dungeons. I think every one of them are stellar.

One thing I love about Twilight Princess that not all the Zelda games have is that the dungeons start really good, and then they only get better as the game goes on. In some of the other games, you get the feeling like “I just finished the Spirit/Wind Temple, and now I only have Ganon’s Tower left… ugh…” But with Twilight Princess, it’s “I just beat Temple of Time! And next is City in the Sky? And then Palace of Twilight?! And then Hyrule Castle?!” The game stays strong throughout and goes out with a bigger bang than any of the other games.
That’s something I’ve noticed with Twilight Princess as well, with each dungeon you complete in the game it only feels like you’re getting more and more upscale in a way like it makes you feel like you’re really progressing and it feels like figuratively walking upstairs from temple to temple until you’ve reached the peak, in a way that’s not captured the same in other Zelda games, I know I might’ve explained it a little weirdly but it’s just difficult for me to put in the words for it, I love the vibe of the Twilight Princess dungeons and it’s one of the many reasons why Twilight Princess is my favorite Zelda game, Ocarina of Time comes in as my 2nd favorite and Skyward Sword comes in as my 3rd favorite Zelda games.
The interesting about twilight princess is when we discuss the worst dungeons from each game others have that infamous dungeon like water temple, ages jabu jabu, great bay, and ocean king but twilight princess it's more so "least good" dungeon rather than "worst"

Majoran mask in B-Tier hurts my heart but it’s honestly correct. I think what made MM special was not the Dungeons but the atmosphere of the world and the impending destruction of Termina. Honestly this is about as respectable as you can get with a tier list. 10/10
Water Temple in OoT is one of my favorite temple to tackle with, along with the Great Bay Temple in Majora’s Mask, Lakebed Temple in Twilight Princess, and Ancient Cistern in Skyward Sword.
I just recently ranked all of the 3D Zelda dungeons based off how much I like them, and these were my top 4 as well. Water temples are just SO good in this series.

Even though Stone Tower Temple is my all time favorite Zelda dungeon, I would have to say I enjoyed more of the dungeons in Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time more. Dungeons like Arbiters Grounds, Snowpeak Ruins, Temple of Time, City in the Sky, Forest Temple OoT, Spirit Temple, Fire Temple, and Shadow Temple, are all dungeons that I really look forward to when replaying Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess.
No way. Four dungeons is just way too few. Also, Stone Tower Temple is a masterpiece, but the other 3 I consider somewhere in the range of okay to bad.
Majoras dungeons are some of the best in the series I think (woodfall is just solid). There’s only 4, but it’s quality over quantity. I was baffled at the b tier placement.
I gotta say, I completely agree with your assessment. Even with ALttP, possibly my favorite Zelda game. Definitely my favorite pixel art Zelda game. Very solid teir list all around.
As someone who is replaying MM, I think it could have gotten an A tier IF they made the moon an actual dungeon. This game was rushed in development and I think they did an excellent job with the overworld/sidequests with the amount of time the devs had. If anything, the overworld gets an "S" tier.

Secondly, the music is a solid dungeon theme for an SNES title, so I dont see the need for multiple themes in 1991. Lastly, all dungeons are themed, properly paced, and have a level of exploration and verticality that is unparalleled for its time. There's a reason it stands with OoT and BoTW as the top 3 entries. Windwaker also in the Mt. Rushmore of things.
@@faustianjain No, ALTTP doesn’t at all stand with oot as one of the best. It was good for its time, but it has aged terribly and the dungeons represent that. They have no unique atmosphere to them, no unique music, making them all feel the same and no actually interesting puzzle, just some battles against annoying to fight enemies.
@voltron77 I'll leave it here friend, but the vast majority of the gaming and Zelda community agree ALTTP is a masterclass in gaming. Its dungeons and enemies are all well designed and unique. The pacing and verticality of the 2D dungeons were immaculate. The music theme is solid. The puzzles were simple, but effective. The combat and exploration piece flowed together perfectly, unlike some modern 3D Zeldas. As someone who loves Zelda and has played all of its games many times, I'm sorry your experience was anything short of a great time. ✌️

Overall I feel this is pretty fair, the only two I really disagree with are Spirit Tracks and Majora's Mask. The Phantom mechanic in Spirit Tracks in the tower I feel is better than it's given credit here and is totally unique to that game. I feel like it deserves to be bumped up one place. Majora's Mask deserves at least an A tier, honestly I feel like it earned an S tier but could be argued down to A. Other than that, I basically agree with these.
Everytime I replay Twilight Princess, the more I like the Forest Temple. At this point I am certain that it is BY FAR the best 1st dungeon in Zelda, in my opinion. But Woodfall Temple and Deepwood Shrine are not too far behind.
If Zelda continues down the BOTW path… I’m confident TP will go down with the best dungeon catalogue. I love lakebed, snowpeak, city in the sky, the hand in twilight palace is cool and fun and I ganons palace is the best ending.
Twilight princess is my favorite zelda game. My favorite dungeon was zants palace, but cuz of the boss fight, and cuz my sister and I were terrified playing it when those hands would chase us.
My only real gripe is that I think Link Between Worlds was overrated. It had a few cool dungeons, but most of them were really short and lacked a sense of progression because you don't get the items INSIDE the dungeon. I barely remember most of them and I remember some of them giving me a sense of "wait, was that it?" But of course this is mostly just my opinion. Tbh even though Minish Cap is still my favorite Zelda, the one whose dungeons gave me the most sense of "holy shit" was absolutely Skyward Sword. That's just my take though; I haven't finished Twilight Princess but everything I am hearing about some of their dungeons, especially the Ice dungeon, sounds INCREDIBLE.
I definitely disagree with how it seems like you're against very complex sprawling dungeons. IMO the last three dungeons in Oracle of Ages are amazing and easily the pinnacle of 2D dungeon design, especially Jabu Jabu's Belly. They're very complex challenging, but that's what makes them so satisfying to complete. Same thing with Tower of Spirits. Spirit Tracks has MUCH better dungeons than Phantom Hourglass, especially in its puzzles. The final visit to the Tower of Sprits is amazing and has some of the best puzzles in the series. On the other hand, I think A Link Between World's dungeons are ranked too high and I'd put them in more like B tier. I love the Ice Ruins, but the other dungeons can feel very simple and small. Some of them even feel like mini dungeons (looking at you Turtle Rock). I'm sure being able to do the dungeons in any order didn't help with having interesting puzzles. They almost feel like a precursor to BotW's "dungeons"
Call me a mad man, but I would personally put Link's Awakening in S, or at least A. But that is probably because I LOVE complex dungeons that take me a while to complete. Eagle's Tower, for example, is one of my all time favorites. I love how LA focuses on getting the dungeon item (at least when compared to LTTP) and I love the creative ideas it has like the skeleton that runs away to several different rooms and you have to remember what room he will go to next. The owl statues is also a nice addition to add hints if you are ever stuck. However, I should note the only 2D/top down Zelda games I played and finished were LTTP, LA, Between Worlds, and Phantom Hourglass. I have a feeling that if I played Ages I would love those dungeons because spending over 2 hours to figure out a dungeon's puzzle/gimmick sounds super fun and challenging to me! :P P.S. I would also put MM in S tier because, once again, I love the complexity of Snowhead and Great Bay. Woodfall is a top tier starting dungeons for players who already played a Zelda game and Stone Tower is my second favorite dungeon of all time (Forest Temple from Oot is first). The lack of dungeons doesn't count as a negative to me. What matters is the quality of each dungeon
I also believe Link's Awekening dungeons are straight up in S. They are extrememly memorable in their own rights... and the OSTs for these dungeons are INSANE
Yeah link’s awakening deserves S tier, meanwhile a link to the past has some of the worst dungeons. They’re just annoying because of how much stupid enemies you have to fight and they have no personality since they have no dungeon music. Also ice temple.
The stone tower temple is the last 3d temple that I have never played. After restarting the game many times, I finally got up to the entrance of the temple (after the shit with the statues to get up to the top). I am looking forward to see it, I know almost nothing about it.
I think Snowhead is pretty fun, and Goron is my favorite form but it is annoying if you fall, also if you punch the cylinders in the middle it’s annoying to backtrack. :). Great bay Can be a little confusing and the fairies are annoying.
No lie I was prepping a long comment to defend Twilight Princess's dungeons until I kept watching 😅. The dungeons are TP's strongest feature and I honestly think it has more great dungeons than any other Zelda. Every dungeon from Arbiter's Grounds to the end is great or at least has an interesting concept, and even it's weaker dungeons are stronger than the majority of the dungeons in other games (looks at MM and WW).
Top 5! 5- Snowpeak (TP) 4- Desert Palace (AlBW) 3- Forest Temple (OOT) 2- Fire Temple (OOT) 1- Stone Tower Temple (MM) Overall I prefer MM and OOT dungeons to others Zelda's!
Adding on to this my top 5 would be: 5- Eagle's Tower (LA) 4- Great Bay Temple (MM) 3- Snowhead Temple (MM) 2- Stone Tower Temple (MM) 1- Forest Temple (OOT) Honorable mentions: - Water Temple (OOT) - Lakebed Temple (TP) - Temple of Time (TP) - Arbiter's Gounds (TP) - Underneath the Well (OOT) (even though technically it is mini dungeon)

Agree with this. I love wind waker as it my really my opening game into the series but the dungeons are poor. Gotta say, your videos are brilliant. You have a wonderful tone and pace - doesn't feel scripted but you speak so fluidly and coherently. Plus your knowledge on the series is unmatched! Fangirl over here
pretty good list, except I think you did _Majora’s Mask_ dirty… Stone Tower Temple is fantastic, and I think Snowhead Temple might be in my top five as well, and the other two still pretty decent. I’d put it at the bottom of S-Tier, or high A-Tier 🤷🏻♂️
Wind waker should be bumped up, one of the things I like about this games dungeons is it seems like the items carry over more in this game compared to other Zelda games where you use the item in the dungeon use it to beat the boss then it essentially becomes useless.
Oof. Felt a bit of pain on Oracle of Ages. That one earns top spot along with OoT-MQ in the S tier for me. But that's because those games actually scratched my puzzle itch.

Hard to do a top 5 but for me it would probably be: 5. Lakebed Temple TP or Water Temple OOT. Can't decide. Both have grown on me over the years. 4. Snowpeak Ruins TP 3. Spirit Temple OoT 2. Arbiter's Grounds TP 1. Forest Temple OoT (love love love this dungeon) Skyward sword has lots of strong dungeons too but just miss the top 5. Wind water solid dungeons but nothing amazing. MM great game however I didn't like the dungeons. I prefer 3D dungeons over 2D ones. I still enjoy 2D ones just not as memorable/enjoyable for me.
interesting. BOTW was my first video game in like 30 years and I loved it. I'm almost finished with it now, and decided that I'll dabble with some of the other Zelda games, and chose the LA remake. Unfortunately, I'm decidedly not sold on LA, and in particular the dungeons (i'm in the middle of the second. and yes, I'm stuck at the moment, but they're plenty of walk-throughs and play through that I'm confidence. I'll eventually be able to get through it) are an issue with me. (it's not just that I find the combat and the puzzles kind of boring, it just doesn't click with me. I will at least stick with it to the opening of the third dungeon though) anyway, my experience with LA made me worried that I might not like the other entries in the series, and might be a BOTW only type.(esp when my reaction to frustration with LA is to bring up BOTW and just randomly run around the map) But your ranking - which follows the general ranking of games I want to play in the future - makes me feel more confident that I might like the other games. You seemed to think no one would say any of ocarina of time’s adult dungeons are bad, people definitely don’t like water temple, I know people who don’t like fire temple and i used to hate shadow temple (but then i got good at it in randomizer and love it now)
I recently just did the Water Temple for the first time and it was actually very fun. It wasn’t as confusing as people made it out to be. I literally didn’t use a guide until I got stuck without a key. Had to look up a guide to find that room that appears after the water rises. A lot of people actually like Water Temple though. Fire Temple was okay though but was probably my least favorite dungeon in the game.
It's funny, I would drop Ocarina of Time down to A tier, and it has nothing to do with the water temple. The water temple might be the most frustrating mechanically (at least originally) , but it is by far the best puzzler, and one of the best puzzlers in the series, and has a cool sub-boss to boot. I actually take at least some issue with most of the dungeons in the game in some way, with only a few being truly fantastic and the others just being good. The 2 half structure of the shadow temple is a great concept, but the adult portion is not that great as an actual dungeon.
Had me at twilight princess 😂😂😂, even though I loved the openworld concept of botw - and the music in the DBs was awesome - it sorely missed the scale of the dungeons like in TP
I’d say Majoras Mask is S tier easily. The 4 main dungeons and the 4 mini dungeons ikana castle, the 2 spider houses, pirate fortress just flow perfectly
@@skc4188 I really liked the dungeons coming from ocarina, Woodall temple was better than young links 3 dungeons but wasn’t better than adult links 5 dungeons, snowhead and great bay I thought were better than the Fire and Water temple but not the forest, shadow or spirit but stone tower temple was better than all of ocarina’s dungeons. I think majora only having 4 dungeons hurts it on a ranking if not considering all the mini dungeons.
My only change to this list would be the original Zelda, should be at B because it set the standard of what a dungeon is. some games improved, some games focused on other parts ^^
Temple of Time is so much fun. Yes it’s super linear and yes the unique item is essentially useless after the dungeon. But it was such a fun idea to force you to crawl all the way up the dungeon and then just smash your way back down like a wrecking ball. And it was a very nice looking place, too.
Have to say this list basically spot on with how I'd rank them. I agree with you in regards to TP too. Some aspects of the game I don't particularly rate or enjoy but they nailed the dungeons in that game. Love wind waker but the dungeons are just average. The Oracle games dungeons I have the same issues with. The later ones took me way too long to get through. Should've used a guide. Don't have time to waste these days! Ocarina of Time's dungeons are truly magnificent for the most part. Amazing for their first shot at 3D. Forest temple is hands down the greatest dungeon they have ever made. The atmosphere in that dungeon is incredible. Only thing I would differ on is MM. I really enjoy that game but I was not a fan of the dungeons. Stone Tower I know is loved but I think the stress of getting all the stray fairies and wanting to rush through it kinda kills it for me. Along with the terrible terrible pre-dungeon route you take and all that statue song playing. Once again GE, great list. Also I am loving your OoT playthrough btw!
I loved the Oracle dungeons because of how challenging they are to complete. Jabu Jabu’s Belly in Oracle of Ages is possibly my favorite 2D dungeon along with Eagle’s Tower and Tower of Spirits
@@Paradox-xm9zq I can understand how some people love that. As a kid I enjoyed those types of dungeons. It's one of the reasons why I love Link's Awakening so much. However as an adult I have very little time to get to play games these days so what little time I have I don't have the time to get through some of those confusing 2D dungeons. If I did I'd probably enjoy them a lot more. It's a shame. You get older and you need to rush through most the little time you have to try and complete games. The joys of adulthood.

I genuinely think Majora's Mask has the best dungeons, even though there are only 4 in total. Snowhead can be a bit annoying, but Great Bay is one my absolute favourites. I think it's as good as Stone Tower. Woodfall is also the best opening temple in the series. Twilight Princess has a lot of dungeons, and they're mostly good, but I found them a bit too straightforward and easy. The only one where I really had to think was Lakebed Temple. Think about it, Palace of Twilight is super linear, same with Temple of Time, same with Snowpeak Ruins, same with Goron Mines. They just don't have much going for them apart from a few rooms. They were still fun, though. Ocarina is quite similar to TP, but the Water Temple alone pushes it much higher because that temple is amazing. The rest of the temples in Ocarina are just mrh, especially the ones as young Link. Skyward Sword is the most hit-and-miss because half of the dungeons are incredible, the rest are a bit lame, so I think I'd probably put it right behind Majora.

TP has the best ratio of great dungeons IMO. Every other game has dungeons that are just bad, whereas TP's worst dungeons are at least decent.
The dungeon design is top tier. I wish the puzzles were harder, but this game's more based on combat anyway.

I think that Majoras Mask is S tier. All the dungeons are unique with their main gimmicks and they are challenging. I honestly love all four dungeons.

A Link to the Past is a PERFECT blend of combat, exploring, and puzzles. It being S-Tier is the only change I'd make.

The combat and exploration piece flowed together perfectly, unlike some modern 3D Zeldas. I enjoyed all of tps dungeons except for city in the sky. THAT dungeon alone brings tp down to an A for me.

That Twilight Princess juke had me going. It's easily my favorite lineup of dungeons in the franchise.
Overall I feel this is pretty fair, the only two I really disagree with are Spirit Tracks and Majora's Mask. The Phantom mechanic in Spirit Tracks in the tower I feel is better than it's given credit here and is totally unique to that game. I feel like it deserves to be bumped up one place. Majora's Mask deserves at least an A tier, honestly I feel like it earned an S tier but could be argued down to A. Other than that, I basically agree with these.
Everytime I replay Twilight Princess, the more I like the Forest Temple. At this point I am certain that it is BY FAR the best 1st dungeon in Zelda, in my opinion. But Woodfall Temple and Deepwood Shrine are not too far behind.
The fact that Wind Waker is even up there is crazy.

If Zelda continues down the BOTW path… I’m confident TP will go down with the best dungeon catalogue. I love lakebed, snowpeak, city in the sky, the hand in twilight palace is cool and fun and I ganons palace is the best ending.
My favorite dungeons are definitely Skyward Sword. It's the one thing that game nailed down to a tee, the absolute best in that regard IMO.

Twilight princess is my favorite zelda game. My favorite dungeon was zants palace, but cuz of the boss fight, and cuz my sister and I were terrified playing it when those hands would chase us.
My only real gripe is that I think Link Between Worlds was overrated. It had a few cool dungeons, but most of them were really short and lacked a sense of progression because you don't get the items INSIDE the dungeon. I barely remember most of them and I remember some of them giving me a sense of "wait, was that it?" But of course this is mostly just my opinion.
Tbh even though Minish Cap is still my favorite Zelda, the one whose dungeons gave me the most sense of "holy shit" was absolutely Skyward Sword. That's just my take though; I haven't finished Twilight Princess but everything I am hearing about some of their dungeons, especially the Ice dungeon, sounds INCREDIBLE.
I definitely disagree with how it seems like you're against very complex sprawling dungeons. IMO the last three dungeons in Oracle of Ages are amazing and easily the pinnacle of 2D dungeon design, especially Jabu Jabu's Belly. They're very complex challenging, but that's what makes them so satisfying to complete. Same thing with Tower of Spirits. Spirit Tracks has MUCH better dungeons than Phantom Hourglass, especially in its puzzles. The final visit to the Tower of Sprits is amazing and has some of the best puzzles in the series.
On the other hand, I think A Link Between World's dungeons are ranked too high and I'd put them in more like B tier. I love the Ice Ruins, but the other dungeons can feel very simple and small. Some of them even feel like mini dungeons (looking at you Turtle Rock). I'm sure being able to do the dungeons in any order didn't help with having interesting puzzles. They almost feel like a precursor to BotW's "dungeons"

Call me a mad man, but I would personally put Link's Awakening in S, or at least A. But that is probably because I LOVE complex dungeons that take me a while to complete. Eagle's Tower, for example, is one of my all time favorites. I love how LA focuses on getting the dungeon item (at least when compared to LTTP) and I love the creative ideas it has like the skeleton that runs away to several different rooms and you have to remember what room he will go to next. The owl statues is also a nice addition to add hints if you are ever stuck.
However, I should note the only 2D/top down Zelda games I played and finished were LTTP, LA, Between Worlds, and Phantom Hourglass. I have a feeling that if I played Ages I would love those dungeons because spending over 2 hours to figure out a dungeon's puzzle/gimmick sounds super fun and challenging to me! :P
P.S. I would also put MM in S tier because, once again, I love the complexity of Snowhead and Great Bay. Woodfall is a top tier starting dungeons for players who already played a Zelda game and Stone Tower is my second favorite dungeon of all time (Forest Temple from Oot is first). The lack of dungeons doesn't count as a negative to me. What matters is the quality of each dungeon
I also believe Link's Awekening dungeons are straight up in S.
They are extrememly memorable in their own rights... and the OSTs for these dungeons are INSANE
Eagles Tower is so Amazing, it was one of the first dungeons I played that made me truly really love dungeons, I felt like such a genius.
Yeah link’s awakening deserves S tier, meanwhile a link to the past has some of the worst dungeons. They’re just annoying because of how much stupid enemies you have to fight and they have no personality since they have no dungeon music. Also ice temple.
The stone tower temple is the last 3d temple that I have never played. After restarting the game many times, I finally got up to the entrance of the temple (after the shit with the statues to get up to the top). I am looking forward to see it, I know almost nothing about it.
Currently playing oracle of ages and so far I’m loving it, kinda glad I picked the puzzle based game first.

I think Snowhead is pretty fun, and Goron is my favorite form but it is annoying if you fall, also if you punch the cylinders in the middle it’s annoying to backtrack. :). Great bay Can be a little confusing and the fairies are annoying.

No lie I was prepping a long comment to defend Twilight Princess's dungeons until I kept watching 😅. The dungeons are TP's strongest feature and I honestly think it has more great dungeons than any other Zelda. Every dungeon from Arbiter's Grounds to the end is great or at least has an interesting concept, and even it's weaker dungeons are stronger than the majority of the dungeons in other games (looks at MM and WW).

8:21 Zelda II is so great, but the dungeons are horrible. It's very similar to Metroid but I would have never beaten it if it weren't for walkthroughs
pretty good list, except I think you did _Majora’s Mask_ dirty… Stone Tower Temple is fantastic, and I think Snowhead Temple might be in my top five as well, and the other two still pretty decent. I’d put it at the bottom of S-Tier, or high A-Tier 🤷🏻♂️
Wind waker should be bumped up, one of the things I like about this games dungeons is it seems like the items carry over more in this game compared to other Zelda games where you use the item in the dungeon use it to beat the boss then it essentially becomes useless.

interesting. BOTW was my first video game in like 30 years and I loved it. I'm almost finished with it now, and decided that I'll dabble with some of the other Zelda games, and chose the LA remake.
Unfortunately, I'm decidedly not sold on LA, and in particular the dungeons (i'm in the middle of the second. and yes, I'm stuck at the moment, but they're plenty of walk-throughs and play through that I'm confidence. I'll eventually be able to get through it) are an issue with me. (it's not just that I find the combat and the puzzles kind of boring, it just doesn't click with me. I will at least stick with it to the opening of the third dungeon though)
anyway, my experience with LA made me worried that I might not like the other entries in the series, and might be a BOTW only type.(esp when my reaction to frustration with LA is to bring up BOTW and just randomly run around the map) But your ranking - which follows the general ranking of games I want to play in the future - makes me feel more confident that I might like the other games. Thank you!

You seemed to think no one would say any of ocarina of time’s adult dungeons are bad, people definitely don’t like water temple, I know people who don’t like fire temple and i used to hate shadow temple (but then i got good at it in randomizer and love it now)
I recently just did the Water Temple for the first time and it was actually very fun. It wasn’t as confusing as people made it out to be. I literally didn’t use a guide until I got stuck without a key. Had to look up a guide to find that room that appears after the water rises. A lot of people actually like Water Temple though. Fire Temple was okay though but was probably my least favorite dungeon in the game.

Botw hyrule castle is my fav dungeon of the series, everyone gotta admit this is one of if not the best final dungeon in the series
It's funny, I would drop Ocarina of Time down to A tier, and it has nothing to do with the water temple. The water temple might be the most frustrating mechanically (at least originally) , but it is by far the best puzzler, and one of the best puzzlers in the series, and has a cool sub-boss to boot. I actually take at least some issue with most of the dungeons in the game in some way, with only a few being truly fantastic and the others just being good. The 2 half structure of the shadow temple is a great concept, but the adult portion is not that great as an actual dungeon.
Had me at twilight princess 😂😂😂, even though I loved the openworld concept of botw - and the music in the DBs was awesome - it sorely missed the scale of the dungeons like in TP
I’d say Majoras Mask is S tier easily. The 4 main dungeons and the 4 mini dungeons ikana castle, the 2 spider houses, pirate fortress just flow perfectly

@@skc4188 I really liked the dungeons coming from ocarina, Woodall temple was better than young links 3 dungeons but wasn’t better than adult links 5 dungeons, snowhead and great bay I thought were better than the Fire and Water temple but not the forest, shadow or spirit but stone tower temple was better than all of ocarina’s dungeons. I think majora only having 4 dungeons hurts it on a ranking if not considering all the mini dungeons.

Temple of Time is so much fun. Yes it’s super linear and yes the unique item is essentially useless after the dungeon. But it was such a fun idea to force you to crawl all the way up the dungeon and then just smash your way back down like a wrecking ball. And it was a very nice looking place, too.

Ocarina of Time's dungeons are truly magnificent for the most part. Amazing for their first shot at 3D. Forest temple is hands down the greatest dungeon they have ever made. The atmosphere in that dungeon is incredible.
Only thing I would differ on is MM. I really enjoy that game but I was not a fan of the dungeons. Stone Tower I know is loved but I think the stress of getting all the stray fairies and wanting to rush through it kinda kills it for me. Along with the terrible terrible pre-dungeon route you take and all that statue song playing.

@@Paradox-xm9zq I can understand how some people love that. As a kid I enjoyed those types of dungeons. It's one of the reasons why I love Link's Awakening so much. However as an adult I have very little time to get to play games these days so what little time I have I don't have the time to get through some of those confusing 2D dungeons. If I did I'd probably enjoy them a lot more.
It's a shame. You get older and you need to rush through most the little time you have to try and complete games. The joys of adulthood.

See it through to the end, and if you don't like it, you don't like it. But it's worth playing it all the way through.

I think it's as good as Stone Tower. Woodfall is also the best opening temple in the series. Twilight Princess has a lot of dungeons, and they're mostly good, but I found them a bit too straightforward and easy. The only one where I really had to think was Lakebed Temple. Think about it, Palace of Twilight is super linear, same with Temple of Time, same with Snowpeak Ruins, same with Goron Mines. They just don't have much going for them apart from a few rooms. They were still fun, though.
Ocarina is quite similar to TP, but the Water Temple alone pushes it much higher because that temple is amazing. The rest of the temples in Ocarina are just mrh, especially the ones as young Link. Skyward Sword is the most hit-and-miss because half of the dungeons are incredible, the rest are a bit lame, so I think I'd probably put it right behind Majora.
