The only difficult part about OOT is the ganondorf/ganon boss fight the game spells out where to go. Sheik tells you "head to kakariko graveyard" there are only a few things you can do in the graveyard this early on depending if you have planted a bean or not but anyway the game tells you exactly where to go and if you don't go there fast enough Navi will literally spell it out for you when you talk to her. And about the things you can do in the graveyard at this point is as adult link ride the the bean plant to get a heart piece OR move the one gravestone that appeared out of nowhere in the adult graveyard and if you are STILL clueless the diary in Dampes cabin LITERALLY tells he BURIED it in a secret place

Oot is my favorite cause it’s the first Zelda game I’ve beat but spirit tracks and skyward sword also has a special place in my heart

TP certainly had a comeback recently. Yeah, 3 years later after this video it is still strong. I remember back like 2016 seeing a top 20 that didn't even include TP in the 10 best ones and ranked it lower than Oracle of Seasons of all things lol.

Twilight Princess was my first Zelda game so call me bias, but to me it does everything Oot does but better, better story better characters and for the most part better dungeons and gameplay

This is the right way to talk about the timeline: contextualizing it through the history of the game releases, instead of arguing purely from small pieces of in game lore.

I notice it's usually the water-themed temples that are the most hated kinds of temples in any Legend of Zelda games, whether it's the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time, the Great Bay Temple in Majora's Mask, the Lakebed Temple in Twilight Princess or the Temple of the Ocean King that you mentioned. I think it's due to the fact that the devs always tend to give water-themed temples more of a mechanical, factory-like aesthetic rather than an actual aquatic aesthetic, and overdo it to a point to which the temple feels too complicated to enjoy.

Skyward sword and twilight princess have the best dungeons and that's that

TP and MM? Yea. But also I just love the stories and gameplay of both so much.

I try the game with motion control around 2-3 hours and its okay I'm motion control . Iwsh it had a hybrid mode like Prime remastered.

Majoran mask in B-Tier hurts my heart but it’s honestly correct. I think what made MM special was not the Dungeons but the atmosphere of the world and the impending destruction of Termina. Honestly this is about as respectable as you can get with a tier list. 10/10

linear dunneons, linear story, some sort of unbreakable weapons/tools for dungeons, change the healing system to add difficulty, better music, less shrines but bigger, more rewards for exploration

There is so much more to OoT! Players these days forget that a lot of concepts from OoT are still part of the series from the combat (whether its MM, TWW, TP, SS, or BotW/TotK, most 3D Zelda games utilize those mechanics)! Ocarina of Time also has a big influence on modern stories, such as the Sheikah (who didn't really exist until OoT as Impa wasn't one in the games predating OoT), Ganondorf (who was only mentioned in Ganon's backstory up to that point), the modern Zora, the Gorons, Gerudo, Kokiri, & Deku Scrubs were all introduced in OoT! Various enemies such as ReDeads, Poes, Lizalfos, Dinalfos! Characters like Dampe, Epona, Malon, Talon, & Ingo all were introduced in OoT! That's not to say other games aren't great or didn't improve upon things as they did, but OoT was the game that transitioned the series into 3D!

This might be a hot take, but as a kid the water temple never really bothered me, the fire temple was harder and more confusing to me. Especially the fire wall maze room

I think ocarina makes the most sense, especially if it can be condensed. Something like Link seeing the deku tree dying from a curse and delivering the Kokiri emerald to Zelda who opens the door of time for him. Cut to 7 years later where Ganondorf’s detriment can be explained by Rauru. Then maybe have link travel to the forest, fire, and water temples to collect medallions that are being guarded by Ganondorf’s minions. Leave the water temple for last for an epic showdown with dark link. Then after that have a final showdown with Ganon after harnessing the energy of the medallions or something. Idk, just a thought!

There’s paintings of Mario characters in the castle courtyard in OOT where you get Zelda’s letter. You can see them by looking through the windows! Always been a cool little Easter egg.

I am weird. In the classic Zelda games, I actually enjoy the overworld stuff more than the dungeons. I like talking to different characters and doing random stuff. When I get to a dungeon, I just want to rush to get to the boss battle, so that I can go back to the overworld stuff.

I was reading a Gamesfag forum thread and I see a comment that said: "Oracle Link doesn't even know what the Triforce is, which would make no sense if he was the same Link from ALttP since he literally had the whole thing in his hands at the end"... Is that true? Because if is, that would be a strong argument for Encyclopedia.

Seriously, the Zelda franchise, up until BotW, went with the classic combination of using items to solve puzzles and help NPCs by doing quests. It's as if you took one of Sierra's old King's Quest games, add a non-linear world to explore and action combat, and bam! you have a Zelda clone.

I think the Temple of the Ocean King would be less hated if there were more checkpoints rather than just the halfway, but rewarded you for running through all the floors up to that point. I also think the Tower of Spirits dropped the ball on what they were trying to be as I see it as six dungeons in one spot rather than a large dungeon with six parts

As much as I would love this, this list basically just sounds like Oot or TP. Aounuma said that going forward they’re gonna keep going for that open style, so more cooking, more memories, more breakable weapons, and more openness. I wish we’d go back to a more classic style of Zelda, but it isn’t gonna happen 🥲

I don't think ANY of the races being in this game cause an issue for Downfall placement. The Zora are in Oracles and easily could've migrated, the Gerudo would've left after the first imprisoning war and therefore could return anytime. The Deku tree would just be further into the forest. And Deku Scrubs might be tied to the tree anyway, as in like Koroks or Kokiri. This is putting aside that I believe TOTK is set in the far future of the Downfall timeline anyway.
