My older sister & I were playing with a Ouija board in about 1956 or 57. I was about 9 & she was a tad older. We asked the name of the spirit on the board & it kept saying Kilroy. We thought that was a weird name & our mother came in and had a fit when she saw it. We didn't know why but she said that was what soldiers had written all across Europe, writing on walls "KIlroy was here." We freaked out & Mother took the board & we never saw it again. LOVE what you guys are doing.
Kilroy was a real person. He was a rivetour. When he was done with his shift he would mark the place he finished at by labeling it " Kilroy was here" It went viral amoung the soldiers.

It’s so heartbreaking to see these beautiful buildings being allowed to get to that state. It’s a huge project in front of you both. But one that will fill you with joy as you bring it back to life🙌
We refurbished a house built in 1762 in USA and felt overwhelmed at times but we never lost sight of the 'vision'....your job is much more daunting but you are doing the right thing no matter how long it takes!
Acrow prop the floors is probably the first to do. But then the expensive part is to do the roof and external wall repairs to make the house water tight.
Really looking forward to these vlogs. Having fun and laughter will make this chateau renovation far more interesting than others on TH-cam (Michael, Ryan, Billy and Gwen not included!) We will be captivated and entertained I am sure!
Thank you so much for bringing us all on this journey with you. You are both so lucky to be following your dreams and pursuing this adventure together. It will be hard work but so very rewarding. ❤ The history is beautiful.
I have been watching the restoration of Château de Purnon. The architects there urged the owners to be extremely cautious about everything they chucked away as there could be clues everywhere about the building's history. I'm really looking forward to watching your restoration too.
That’s exactly what I am thinking watching these renovation channels. 😂 There was no TH-cam when I was fit enough to do such things. Nowadays I live in a flat built in 2018 = no renovation whatsoever 😂
Your brother has such a great respect for the convent and the nuns who resided there, I feel the ghosts that are from this chateau’s past are joyful that you are there. I can’t believe how wide the hallways are and there was not one squeak on any of the stairs. This is going to be a magnificent project and I wish you well and I will be watching until completion. Best of luck. Regards, from Castle Hayne, North Carolina.
Your comment reminds me of Stephanie talking about the spirit at her chateau that a medium once told her was so appreciative of her efforts to restore the chateau that he loved so much. He even is known to help connect her with professionals! Hopefully, the spirits of this chateau are as gracious!
You two have to be the bravest people on earth to tackle this chateau. What a job! But it only takes one step at a time and I look forward to seeing the progress little by little.

The Chateau would have looked so beautiful. It's such a shame that inconsiderate people seem to like destroying property. I admire you both for wanting to restore it and I hope all goes well. 🙃🇦🇺
One of your first jobs will be to repair the roof to keep out the water. Much of the interior will have to be gutted, though there are some features worth preserving and restoring. This is a major project!
Thank you !!! You would think it would be obvious !!! There is major, expensive work to be done to keep the water out. Should be #1 priority. Like Chateau de Purnon, they have historians, architects, craftsmen doing the repairs. And they aren’t doing it “under the radar”, working with the city, France and permitting. Doing it the RIGHT way.

So impressed that you're taking on this huge project! I just can't wait to see the transformation of this beautiful chateau!
Acrow prop the floors is probably the first to do. But then the expensive part is to do the roof and external wall repairs to make the house water tight.
Yep, I was thinking the roof should be first, so the deterioration will stop.
I agree, safety for the family always comes first.
My thoughts exactly!!!
Ive already fast-forwarded in my mind your huge glorious château wedding and lots of children and horses- wishing you so much luck and love❤❤❤❤
Really looking forward to these vlogs. Having fun and laughter will make this chateau renovation far more interesting than others on TH-cam (Michael, Ryan, Billy and Gwen not included!) We will be captivated and entertained I am sure!
Stan is lovely. This channel will be big with him as a presenter. Well done Sadie and Stan
I was just thinking about that Chateau and the work they are doing.
@kristinwhitworth410 fascinating isn't it. I've learnt loads through watching it.
Please get rid of those evil things.... I have a feeling I'm going to live this channel!
If I were 40 years younger, I would love to help restore such a place to its magnificence.
That’s exactly what I am thinking watching these renovation channels. 😂
There was no TH-cam when I was fit enough to do such things.
Stan the Man of many talents! He’s a keeper!
You two have to be the bravest people on earth to tackle this chateau. What a job! But it only takes one step at a time and I look forward to seeing the progress little by little.
What a huge task you took on! Your very special humor will help you in many difficult situations. Could not stop smirking. And symbolically starting with cleaning the steps and the statue has some wisdom. 🥰
WOW!!! Just incredible! Now I know why Billy loved it. How exciting this is going to be! Congratulations! I'll be watching every video. This chateau will be magnificent!
The Chateau would have looked so beautiful. It's such a shame that inconsiderate people seem to like destroying property. I admire you both for wanting to restore it and I hope all goes well. 🙃🇦🇺
We are all excited for Yanis to walk on screen with his lump hammer 😂😂😂. Wee guy is going to be so excited 😂
Love the beginning with the aerial view of the chateau, very nice. So much detail it's beautiful.
I can't wait to see everything turn into something more lively,
it is sad to see it has been neglected for centuries
Thanks for the tour and the subsequent realisation of the effort that will be required to renovate this gem !
I was born and raised in the north of the Netherlands, Frisians are known for their down-to-earth nature. I don't believe in ghosts and summoning spirits, never played a board like that.
that's my experience🫣
what a beautiful chateau, but there is a lot of work to be done... I have so much respect for you. 🫡

What a Building..Potential Awesomeness!! Hugs and looking forward to watching.
Wow, what a huge undertaking this restoration is! It's going to be quite the adventure, I look forward to seeing this wonderful, old chateau come back to life.
Stan has a big motorcycle - plays an accordion and sings
Very interesting!
Plus he quotes Shakespeare!
@ didn’t know!
Es ist immer so traurig, wenn so schöne Orte mit großem historischen Wert zerstört werden. Es ist wirklich ein wunderbares Schloss. 😢 Viel Erfolg für Sie!
Really great to come right at the beginning of this adventure. This is going to be huge and I cant wait for the demo to begin!!!
You are now my new favorite vlog. Yours will be the first I watch. Love that Stan and Sadie found each other. What a catch, so intelligent, recites Shakespeare, a history buff and of course so good looking! Oh and that accent! Good luck with everything. 🏰❤️🇦🇺
The way you two look at each other…melts my heart…look forward to watching you both transform this beautiful place.
Wow...what a channel...what an entertainment. Absolutely stunning...love it. The next 7 years are guaranteed for great vid evenings with Mucky Mansion😊
