My mum bought this CD for me from the shop called the Range in the UK when I was a kid, I used to lay in bed with my Walkman headphones in, and it used to calm me down immediately and make me fall straight to sleep. When I found this again I was so happy! Listening to it now it's so nostalgic and relaxing 😌 thank-you so much for uploading this. Hunter Plekavich I remember my mom shopping at the nature store also. Was at the mall. She got me those rocks you put in a jar and they grow from that store. I went on Amazon and purchased the stormy seas cd since I can't find it here. But I have flight of the eagle saved on my playlist. Helps me sleep too.
My favorite of all of them. Esp while sitting on my swing with a friend, drinking a cooler, and the sound up almost all the way. People would walk by and look up to see what's going on in the sky, and wondering where the thunder is coming from....
Dan Gibson is a Canadian. He invented the parabolic microphone which for years, was used by the NFL on the sidelines, to record field noise. Comes from near St. Catherines. Beautiful Noise
Everyone in the comments are saying they enjoyed this cd, you must have listened to it before all the "damn ads" were added!But lucky enough, I own the cd and have for years, there's no ads on it! You can't fall asleep to this one though.
I agree with you that the mp3s or ideally the flacs are better, but with ublock origin or TH-cam Vanced, you'll never see ads and with Vanced you can turn your phone screen off and the audio doesn't cut for those on cell phones.

I do love a good thunderstorm and this must have been a real doozy!
Lots of Dan Gibson were Dolby Surround sound. Meant that you played it with a surround sound system (not that kind of ac3 5.1 or DTS 5.1 sound system). Left, center, right and backgoung from a stereo track. It was a big relaxation in surround like being there on the nature. Wonderful experience to live ... In fact it was an audio virtual reality experience.

Thunderstorm cd ( cover shown here ) it's the haunting but somehow calming call of the Great Northern Divers ( I think that's right - called the loon in North America - I believe ? ) . And the trickling water with the ever distant thunder that I find so relaxing - I don't know why.
I used this to sleep to in my high school years (late 90's), except it was on tape. The auto stop when side A ended always scared me awake for about 10 seconds before falling asleep again. 😂
I listened to this when my wife was pregnant and I would put this on and massage her legs. Love 💕 the ocean one. I remember the hole collection that first came out and used it through her hole pregnancy and after 💕❤️.
i didn't get it at first but then i was like oh silly me it a recording of a thunder storm! i do like the track though i do enjoy thunderstorms i just run outside and enjoy myself it feels nice just something in me says the it just feels like home sadly there has not been much rain from last year but i hope this year once the snow melts and it gets warmer then it will rain like crazy XD

With this thunder , time isn't minded and it's struck by lightning everywhere and the person is killed and the brushfire is caused . But Japanese thunder knows where it falls . Japanese thunder is clever and sagacious
Hey, yes i did recover from it. It took a long time before everything went back to normal again. It was because i endured a lot of stress. I really felt weird when this all happend. The only thing you can do is to go through it and take the time to rest your body and mind. Stress can really take a lot out of you. It really is a defending mechanism when we get into a state of dpdr. I hope my answer could help you 😉
