When the prophet, peace be upon him, died, a sahib (a friend or apostle) Umar because he couldn't believe that Muhammad, peace be upon him, died, he was saying that Allah rose him to the heavens like Jesus, peace be upon him, denying the prophet's death and threatening everyone around him with death if someone says that he (the prophet) died. So, Umar was emotionally taken because of that event. Abu Bakr came and said that, with the meaning "Muhammad isn't God, all besides God die, so stop denying the death of the prophet because you don't have any right to believe that he will live forever". So nobody (of the Muslims) ever committed any kind of worship to anyone else besides God. Bowing down to Adam was a command of God so the angels didn't worship Adam, they worshiped God by doing exactly what God said (Quran 7:11). Angels are created to worship God with perfect monotheism (because they don't have desires and he devil can't entice them), an angel is unable to commit polytheism (shirk).

Thank you for doing these videos Rabbi. Without you I would have been completely lost for the last year. I walked out of Christianity. I was angry about the lies I have believed my whole life. But where to turn now? What to think? I have listened to a number of your videos and they have helped me immensely. People who have not been trapped in these belief systems don't understand how difficult it is to turn back to it.

I strongly believe that both religions -- Judaism and Islam -- are very similar and share common customs and traditions (including circumcision which is under attacked in some European countries). Any God you may have in your mind that is not Logic itself, is doomed to be mythological. The source of all that is logical (existing), including and especially things like us and the Torah, need Logic/God in order to exist, and only exist so long as we are sufficiently coherent, and obey his rules. The real rules of logic, which are not necessarily or even usually the rules religious people think of when they talk about “Gods laws” and arbitrarily enforce subjective nonsense. I have the Quram at home and have read it. I have return to my roots of Judaism because, Thanks to my King's revelation. I made a mistake because of my loneliness and rejection to return to a Christian church and G-d Almighty showed me the reality of their idol worshipping. I was devastated. Thank to Hashem, blessed is He, I repented and now I am in peace. I am learning Hebrew and have been studying Torah and the Prophets for the past eight years. Children believe what they are told. My parents were both descendants of Sephardic Jews, from Spain, France, and Yemen. They never told us about their religion, I guessed because of fear. They were running from the persecution. I am talking about my ancestry who came to America in the 1860. My maternal grandmother was a Yemenite Jew. She was born some time around 1850-60 and died when she was 43 years old. She had been running from the Inquisition. Ended up in Venezuela and later in Dominican Republic. My paternal grandparents came from France and Spain, also around the 1800's. Isn't there Rabbinic dispute whether belief in the trinity is forbidden as idolatry for non-Jews (we know it is absolutely forbidden for Jews, but may or may not be idolatry)? From what I read it's a very complex theological debate regarding how much one-ness is necessary and whether there is enough oneness in the concept of the trinity. I even recall reading that having icons in church might be more idolatrous than the trinity thing.

So, Umar was emotionally taken because of that event. Thank to Hashem, blessed is He, I repented and now I am in peace. I am learning Hebrew and have been studying Torah and the Prophets for the past eight years. Children believe what they are told. My parents were both descendants of Sephardic Jews, from Spain, France, and Yemen. They never told us about their religion, I guessed because of fear. They were running from the persecution. I am talking about my ancestry who came to America in the 1860. My maternal grandmother was a Yemenite Jew. She was born some time around 1850-60 and died when she was 43 years old. She had been running from the Inquisition. Ended up in Venezuela and later in Dominican Republic. My paternal grandparents came from France and Spain, also around the 1800's. Most of their family were killed.
Isn't there Rabbinic dispute whether belief in the trinity is forbidden as idolatry for non-Jews (we know it is absolutely forbidden for Jews, but may or may not be idolatry)? From what I read it's a very complex theological debate regarding how much one-ness is necessary and whether there is enough oneness in the concept of the trinity. I even recall reading that having icons in church might be more idolatrous than the trinity thing.

I have a question. Is the rabbi saying that Isaiah in the book of Isaiah did not say Behold a woman will be found with child? Was that passage interpolated?
That verse was spoken about a woman centuries before Jesus was born, as a sign for people who lived centuries before Jesus was born. The context makes that abundantly clear.
It's also a flagrant mistranslation. The Hebrew means "young woman," not "virgin."
Putting all that aside, and putting aside the fact that virgin birth is a pagan invention slapped onto early Christianity to make it appealing to the local pagans of the time, Jesus fulfilled zero of the Messianic prophecies. And to claim that he'll do all that after some second coming is farcical because there is no second coming recorded literally anywhere in the Jewish Scriptures.

Tovia Singer is being bias towards Christians and disingenuous about his views on muslims. The Torah says God is a jealous God, and will not give his glory to another. Tovia Singer keeps treading on egg shells when it comes to muslims but is so upfront on his views on Christians.

It answers Tovia singer's bias towards Christians . I think he called it Christianity's worst self-inflicted wound- and I couldn't agree more.

Cognates of the name Allah exist in Hebrew and Aramaic. And furthermore Jews and Muslims have the same concept of God.

Not so. Jews and Muslims speak different languages we have different words for an apple and your socks however we pray to one and the same G-d. Just like we know what an apple is will agree what it is.
We also know from the Torah that G-d made a unique covenant for Ishmael. That is nothing new so I fail to see how the Rabbi is walking on egg shells. He is quite outspoken so why not call him and ask yourself if your not satisfied with my answer.
