    I worked my ass off in order to achieve my dream in being a tattoo artist. It's been 9 months in total, 3 months since I started on actual skin. TH-cam videos, 3 one to one courses. Hours, literally hours of watching videos. Nights spent tattooing on fake skin and than had to wake up for work the next day. I am really proud to see how my clients compliment me, and see their smile in their face. I just wanted to say thank you, and thanks to all of those people that helped me through out this journey. There's a little bit of all of you guys in my tattoos.

    Today a tattoo artist was calling me a scratcher and putting me down for not going the traditional apprenticeship route. I was just trying to ask for recommendations for pen covers (mine is on the larger side). They don’t know my financial situation or where I live. They don’t know I’m a new homeowner with lots of bills and there aren’t any shops close enough to me that would make apprenticing financially feasible for me. I have been watching this channel and others to help me learn how to do this on my own. Thank you for creating a space for EVERYONE to learn!

    Picked up a tattoo machine one month ago and I’m following your vlogs to help. I’ve transformed in one month at an incredible rate. Thanks bro!!! Look for my name in future. 😂

    I've been learning for about year. Mostly on my own legs & fake skins... Lately I've had a bunch people hit me up(unfortunately, right now i take care of my 92yr old mom that had a stroke 24/7, an apprenticeship is out of the question). I'm a recovering heroin addict from D.C.(after 25yrs), I just took the BBP & only got 2 wrong(certified). Luckily, I've been a knifemaker/social media person for years... I do make sure to tell anyone getting work, my experience & the risk. They all seem happy to help my journey & for now I don't charge(unethical. a lot of artist online have helped me. more have hated me). I know there are a few states where only BBP is required when that time comes... Thanks for all the help, hope all is well. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! Take it easy.

    Hey Brandon, as always enjoyed the video & always love getting useful info from a professional. I’ve been tattooing for a few years now, I don’t have my license for that but do have my blood-borne pathogen license so far lol. Anyways I had a discussion with my wife and in a month or so after the holidays she’s signing me up for your Tattooing101 program so I can get what I need to do to get licensed. She’s very supportive of me tattooing
    and taking these courses means a lot to me. Super pumped about starting this soon! It’s crazy how much your TH-cam videos have helped my tattooing so the courses will be awesome. As always thanks!🤘🏻🤘🏻

    I have 2 years since i started, but i just dont have success, my tattoos are nice, but i dont speak the language perfect and I don't have friends. I am starting to think to just give up. I am always the 4th guy to chose. There is a tattoo shop near me, then is a dude who tattoos for 10 years from his house, then is a girl who does the same. But even if i am the 4guy, there are many ho just started and just do crazy deals and i am just tired. I start to think that this job is not for every one, especially for new tattooers. I am sick of just hoping and praying that some day will be the same. I get on average 1 client every 2 mounts i cant even advance, i cant grow tehnicaly with this level of track. Again my tattos are good but people don't like me and there are already so many artists with years of experience near me that people dont even think about me. I am so sad that i think i am in one of my worst depressions of my life, I was hoping so much that this will work for me, especially as an immigrant who worked the most back killing jobs. I just wanna quit

    When I attended tattoo school the instructor told us that “There is no Money in Tattooing” … now that I’m a pro of 6 years I gotta admit…he was right 😂

      He probably said that cuz most of the students were there for the money, he wanted to teach people who wanted to tattoo for the sake of the art.

      There's that many shops these days another tattooist is just that a drop in the ocean of other tattoo artists it's hard to make money and stand out even if good at it.

    Hey Brandon, I'm an aspiring tattoo artist and I have a quick question about your Tattooing 101 Accelerator Programme as I'm sorely tempted!
    Is it a recognised accredit and certified course? I watched the video and I know it states it could help you get into a shop but, by stating you've completed the course, would you gain some form of evidence that may help you?
    Thank you for the solid advice :)

    • @Tattooing101
      @Tattooing101  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you're based in the US then you will have to check with your relevant local authorities if the program can be counted towards your apprenticeship hours as the requirements and regulations differ from state to state. That being said, you will receive a certificate from us after completion of the artist accelerator program.

    You’ll always make money in this industry if you’re a good artist and a super cool fun person to be around. He will always struggle when you suck at your craft and you’re stuck up and have no personality and too expensive. And that’s the problem that all of these Tattooers are having now. They want to charge hundreds of dollars an hour for ugly cartoons and simple drawings that they got off of Procreate. And then want to be sitting in a chair with a customer who they are too cool to talk to you or have nothing to say I have no personality for two or three hours straight. And then want to tip. Lol.
