USM. I love how Hickman dove into MJ's family. I hadn't seen Gayle in ASM since the mid-90s "Back From the Edge" arc. Other than that and ASM 290-292 and a couple issues with MJ's flashbacks from the 80s, I don't think she's been featured. Marvel is sleeping on a treasure trove of potential character drama and development with MJ's family. Glad Hickman recognized it and is utilizing it in USM but with a twist.
My pick of the week is ultimate Spider-Man its really awesome and badass also that ending with Peter parker suit being the imposter and being the new venom is so creepy and awesome I love it so much, that I can't wait to see what happens next with this amazing book. :)
I love how you feel about Usm, its a great read. But the grumbling from a lot of youtubers is becomming louder. No action boring. They are going to scare readers off.
"No action is boring" For me, it's the opposite. Action is boring. I want character driven stories Things going boom boom is just not a story. Those kind of comics get removed from my pull list. Unfortunately, the mcu has been much more action oriented without much concern about characters. Although Wandavision was a great and spectacular character story.
I too am a long time marvel fan. Barely read any DC. But the last few years, probably started with World's Finest, i have really gotten into DC. They have been writing some good stories, and the absolute titles are really good. I enjoyed the Dawn of DC, only complaint is they barely got that started and then they changed to all in. Really surprised at how good the Superman stories have been. Most of the marvel titles i get are...ok at best. Except the sacred title of Ultimate Spider-Man! DC has been better at characters. I didnt like the Absolute Power event...ugh, certainly not character driven. Just a convoluted boring plot driven event. I love character driven stories. Therefore i wonder why I'm even into comics. They are often so focused on plot and cool fights and big explosions.
It had some problems early in the run, and I dropped it. I am wishing I had kept it. This will be the last run before the mcu has an FF movie. Then the comicbook will be changed to match however the characters are done in the movie.

IMO Fantastic Four is marvels best book!
