- Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys appeared on the American TV show Loveline, October 2000. The full show lasted for almost an hour, so I edited it to show those parts where Neil is talking.

I draw two conclusions from this programme: That Neal is uncomfortable even though he tries to handle it well and that he has been forced to do shows that are not up to his standards but he does it to publicise his records and not let the public forget about the PSB because the ruthless record industry supports whoever it wants, whenever it wants for whatever reasons it knows.

Yikes, I remember that show. It was crap. Even Neil looks kind of uncomfortable being there. But I think he showed a lot of class - certainly more than Adam Carolla (the guy with the mug).
The "guy with the mug" is so unpleasant and annoying, and why is he keeping his leg raised all the time?? Does he think it makes him look sexy or more self-confident?

Aside from all that, Adams theory about the semen taking a rest and then pushing on the next day was hilarious.
Also Neil asking whether or not people are able to separate their sexuality from their emotions, was very revealing. Apparently he is not able to, which is very sweet.
@AmpRack000 Because the video can be only 10 minutes long, and the most important thing was to include all of Neil's talking.

Some of you all need to get a sense of humor.
Anyway the KROQ radio version of this show helped me out quite a bit back when I was a teenager. My religious family didn't believe in sex education, so I had to get it from somewhere. The subject of sex, trying to understand what's normal and what's not, what to take seriously and what not to worry so much about is a big deal for a kid. A lot of people just don't talk openly about this stuff.

I love Neil Tennant, the interviewer is a horrible prick, trying to make Neil feel uncomfortable, Neil was too good for that show.

This is October 1999. This is probably the most cringe TV show I've seen Neil on. Adam is rude and Dr. Drew is about equivalent to Dr. Phil or Dr. Oz and it's gotten even moreso that way over the years. Good on Neil for promoting the album. At this stage in their career they were at a low point and I'm sure being on MTV for an entire hour did help. I do remember there was pretty decent US promotion for Nightlife.
Its actually said that showmen give advice on serious topics where people should look for professional help

I don't know. I wish there were more loveline videos on TH-cam. Neil is cool and all. But he's just talking about himself and dropping names most of us don't know and don't care about. Throw up more loveline, save the timid Brits for a rainy day.
