Cool fact, "steaming" in korean sounds almost exactly like "gimme now" in English. So even though you think you're hearing gimme now constantly, they switch languages in the middle of the song.
The song has grown me since I first listened to it. It is a very experimental release for sure. Ningning and Winter killing with the vocals at the end though was super great. I wasn't sure how I felt about them being the lead vocals in comparison to Girls'Generation, f(x) or RV but this song helped me see their potential and skills. Also be sure to check out the mini. I think ningning is my fave from the group so far, she seems funny... but yeah i like this song, i like when groups go all out and depart from a traditional song structure.. their version of Next Level is prolly one of my top 10 fave kpop songs of the year.. so far my fave b-side from the album is Ill make you cry, but ive only had a chance to listen thru it once, so that will prolly change
Please check out the entire new album: Savage the 1st Mini Album, it's pretty darn good, definitely their best! Every song off of it is awesome. BTW, this song, Savage, does grow on you over time, listen to it more and more, it's an earworm. I also didn't quite get into at first, but after more listens, now I totally am.
While there were certainly parts of this song I liked, overall it isn't for me. Still, I like that SM is taking an experimental path with them, and look forward to what they do next.
this is what i felt when i watched it for the first time. there were some really good parts but overall i really didn’t like it at first and even kept rewatching so it could grow on me… which it kind of did a little bit bc it is super catchy
