@@alex_fields I’ve been playing competitively since BT4, my favorite card is Gabumon - Bond of Friendship! Thanks for doing more in depth Digimon content!
I’ve always wanted to see Alec and Alex teach Digimon to Paul, Trell, or Larry. Maybe start with them judging whether cards are good or not, similar to your MTG videos?
I mean they did play MTG on the Community college channel so i would love to see them try. Maybe give them a starter deck each if its worrying about balancing issues?
Hope to do one of these every week on Mondays, though that might be tough during the holiday season! Anyway, let us know what you think of this new mini-segment!
Been a yugioh player since 2006 (2013-2022 competitively) Switched to Digimon 2 years ago and never looked back. It's such an awesome game and the community in my country is very nice aswell (compared to the yugioh community lately here)
The memory resource system is one of the most innovative in any tcg I've ever played. The speed of the game being dictated by the players in an ever evolving arms race is very fun.
I don't think anyone would be mad if you guys uploaded more Digimon matches. Would be awesome. My brother introduced me to CardProtaganist and I was hooked, around when BT12 came out and of course my favorite Digimon being Imperialdramon. Been having so much fun playing and just grateful for the community I have entered by playing this game. Amazing video Alex. Nice collection you got going on.
The art, especially the alternate arts and lottery cards are PEAK. Tonamikanji has been snapping lately with the alternates. For anyone looking into any safe colord to pick from, Blue seems to be really well explored in North America. Purple has been doing decent with Red and Yellow following. Green (not Imperial hes good) and Black are struggle tier rn.
Love this. Hope this series sticks around and even revisits some of the games mentioned. Also Alec & Alex digimon tcg matches with earlier starter decks could be really inviting to watch for new/uninitiated people looking to try the game.
If digimon does one thing really well, its translating the original into mechanics. My favorite example is Marcus/Shinegreymon from Data Squad/Savers. In case you didn't watched it, you probably heard about the dude that straight up punches the shit out of digimon. Thats in the game. Marcus can treat himself as digimon for a turn to attack and speed up your evolutions. I could go on and on about how faithful it is to the shows/games/etc.
@@MrNovascar ProtoGizmon deleting Digi-Tama that are usually untouchable, DarknessBagramon that removes all Tamers on field, Lucemon Satan Mode and Larva that protect each other similar to the anime, Omnimon that removes all digimon with the same name, Angemon that puts itself back to security and hatch a Digi-Tama to eventually come back later, the list goes on and on.
I love Digimon! I don't play much but hopefully that will change soon! I would love to see the other members of team APS that don't play to give it a try.
Ayy, I'm all in for Digimon content. The cool thing about the game is, there is a big chance that your favourite digimon will have a good competitive deck to play with. Really would love to see what decks you play.
I'd love to see more Digimon content. As for another game i just got into VS. System 2PCG and would love to see a bigger channel like this expose people to it!
We needs loads more digimon vids game deserves so much more attention then it is getting so getting more eyes on the game is a good thing. Would love to see the rest of aps learn to play digimon btw.
Thanks for the Alex segment. I collected the Digimon cards when they first released in America but never got to try out the game. Have always considering getting back in!
I would love to see Alex play some digimon against the others and hear their perspectives on it. My deck has always been Gallantmon and I'm excited for the next 2 sets.
Wow, Alex's Game Corner? That sounds cool, but who is Alex? I don't--oh!! That flashing arrow! The helpful label! Alex is the guy talking to me! Oh my gosh, that's incredible!
Im really really new to the game the memory system is very intuitive and can create cool decision making dilemmas when your in the thick of a game, very fun stuff. Im a lifelong lover of the IP so I enjoy all the nods and references to different parts of the franchise both within the art on the cards and the mechanics aswell. Lack of interaction with tamers is a point of contention I have with the game especially with how some of the recent tamers just give you memory as opposed to the ones that set your memory to 3. As a lapsed yugioh player I quite like that game arent decided on turn 1 and games usually have a lot of back and forth without feeling too swingy. That being said ive played a good number of games where my opponent drew most of their deck into hand and just sacked security for memory to put out a line up huge x anti body digimon, and when alot of the yugioh refugees that put me onto the game assured me that solitaire it felt pretty lame, but it was mostly my fault for not having certain key words in my deck I guess. Also alot of variety is present in the decks you can build is so nice.
I love the art as well and have full pages of my binder dedicated to the Xros Wars characters and their Digimon. Just finally got in the normal art Luminamon (Nene ver.) to finish my Nene page, and I got the gold Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode the other day. Definitely planning to get that black and white DarknessBagramon you have in your binder as well eventually. One of my favorites so far is the manga Nene alt art card, partly because it was the first time I actually pulled the alt art I wanted and didn't have to resort to buying.
This is awesome, I've played YGO forever now and I really want to get into Digimon TCG, hopefully we can see some duels with Digimon cards soon?? Definitely subbed for stuff like this!
I wish it was still popular in my area. Nowadays, I kinda just play with myself once in awhile to scratch that itch (luckily, it's pretty doable unlike Yugioh).
This is such a great time for people to get into the game! The new starter decks are very accessible as far as learning the game, and the most recent sets have felt like a soft reboot of the game, bringing us all new archetypes that will only get more support over time
Never played it, but the art is cool. I like seeing a variety of TCG's because im making my own based around my own book series, so seeing different mechanics helps me stay diverse and creative with how mine plays.
think this is a great idea, i mainly watch this channel for you guys personalities, because i have never and never will play yugioh but i do play one piece and dragon ball.
I played this for a little while then it slowly died out at my LGS. I had a machindramon deck as he is one of my fav digimon and started on a red / purp galantmon deck.. I enjoyed the game very much and it was incredibly cheap to get into
I really enjoy the digimon TCG and the same locals I go to play Yu-Gi-Oh also host digimon events. Unfortunately they're only on Saturday mornings when I work. Hoping the Lucemon stuff comes down in price cuz it looks super cool
It saddens me that more people don't give this TCG a try. It's the most fun one out there imo.. Also curse Bandai for cannibalizing it with like 4 other TCGs.
This is cool, though it feels like we traded Larry for Alex. I like Alex, though I'm wondering if you guys moved closer to him and that means we may not see as much of Larry and Trell anymore. That aside good stuff, glad Digimon will have a strong defender on a mainstream TCG channel.
You forgot to mention webcam tournaments and I call shenanigans on stall decks they're called yellow decks aaahhhhh I'm looking at you great angels. I'm a hybrid player
I hope you all liked this video! I've got a long list of games I want share. Anyway, any Digimon card game players here? What's your favorite card?
@@alex_fields I’ve been playing competitively since BT4, my favorite card is Gabumon - Bond of Friendship! Thanks for doing more in depth Digimon content!
Lilithmon and Armagedemon.
Fav card probably the white greymon from bt17. He's fun. And unique.
Started with ex7 so cendrillmon and Arisa are my faves
Lets gooo digimon best tcg!!!

Let’s gooooo!!!! Digimonnnnnnn
I am all about this format. I love card games, and it's great to see big channels talking about the amazing variety of games we have out right now.

Haven’t watched it yet but Alex brings the kid out in me whenever he duels and gets excited
I love me some Digimon TCG! Glad you see you showing it off!
Yes! Love the Digimon TCG
5:19 If I'm understanding this right, Leomon giving an effect when he dies is darkly on brand.

Pretty sure that was on purpose. 😅

I love how the card abilities call back to the anime, game, or Mangas.
Keep the Digimon videos coming!🔥

I learned a lot 👍
I'd love more Digimon content from Alex here. You can tell he loves Digimon and the TCG. It really shines through. It's adorable, really 🥺
Hope this video gets enough views to justify. I love hearing from Alex
I wish Digimon will get an official Digimon TCG simulator soon so i can play it on the go
With the state of MTG and YGO being god awful wastes of time and money its great to see digimon covered!
And just like that you got me hooked, now I am going to fall into the rabbit hole and study to build a deck. 😂
Welcome to the Digimon TCG family!
I loved the video! It's a nice refreshing content, just sharing your love for a TCG.
I never played Digimon TCG but that was interesting!
it's always super nice to see another true DCG enthusiast!

Yay digimon content!!+
I love Digimon TCG. I just really want to play.
Digimon is the most funny tcg for me and i played all of them in the past.
Never played it, but the art is cool. I like seeing a variety of TCG's because im making my own based around my own book series, so seeing different mechanics helps me stay diverse and creative with how mine plays.
Not a local scene in my area. In the netherlands. Otherwise inwould really love to play it.
Heck yeah
I'm a major fan of Digimon TCG, I moved on from Yu-Gi-Oh (sadly) but Digimon is an underrated game so continue to spread the word.

More digimon😍
I played this for a little while then it slowly died out at my LGS. I had a machindramon deck as he is one of my fav digimon and started on a red / purp galantmon deck.. I enjoyed the game very much and it was incredibly cheap to get into
Leomon is the GOAT!!
Been playing about 2 months so fun its my life rn lol
I really enjoy the digimon TCG and the same locals I go to play Yu-Gi-Oh also host digimon events. Unfortunately they're only on Saturday mornings when I work. Hoping the Lucemon stuff comes down in price cuz it looks super cool
That was Sonic Frontiers music at the end... Was that a preview for the next episode?
Naochika Morishita is the GOAT.
It saddens me that more people don't give this TCG a try. It's the most fun one out there imo.. Also curse Bandai for cannibalizing it with like 4 other TCGs.
Do Union Arena next. I also play it along with Digimon
