This is a brilliant video. It’s not an easy system to understand for the novice and you did an excellent job of explaining it. Some really useful tips too - many thanks.
Bonjour intéressant vidéo retrosix sur mon atari linx 2 j'ai un gros courcircuit sur la parti alimentation. Ça peut venir d'où ? J'ai pas encore replacé les condensateur ! Avez que precision ? Cdlt
Followed this as I am trying to get my system to run, thank you. It helped me understand my lynx power circuit is working as it should. Still no insert game but I do have power and a lit up screen. Thinking it's one of this chips.
@@RetroSix Game inserted, new caps and new voltage regulator rebuild kit. U2 is lightly warm but u1 is cold. Both getting the proper Volts to the pins. No contrast control, just a lit up screen with no image.
Excellent information. I am a novice and have learnt a lot from your video. I have the same console need to know how to check the rest of the board for where it is broken. Are you making more Atari Lynx videos?
you are the bomb bro, I love your explanations. So if 9v goes to the system does it kill mikey/suzy etc? or what happens? I have a few I was working on and replaced power parts and now I just get white screen, no video. I am going to continue to digest your videos and get back to my lynx, hope they aren't fried . One Love!
I'm pretty sure the system is 9V tolerance due to if the diode failed. I can test that Monday as I'm on 3 Lynx at the moment and have several donors that boot but have only audio so good enough to sacrifice on testing it

Great video….we need more videos like this
Awesome walk-through, Luke!
Glad it's useful. Even more deep dive on the circuit on wiki now

Great video and informative. Got a lynx as well that replaced caps and power and still no luck.
A little more complex explanation video, but certainly very interesting to know how the Atari Lynx's on-off system works! Thanks Luke!
Yeah I'll do some explanation videos then will be doing full hardware builds too so it's good knowledge to have

No lynx I've worked on shows insert game. It simply doesn't power on without a game in. So perhaps try inserting a game

Got a bench power supply to power it up and see what current it's drawing?
@@RetroSix At the power jack it shows 8.57v. Going in.
Need to know current draw
perfect video

Did you already know that the atari token is available on ftm?
