watched this movie, its pretty good, only the shots are pretty limited (you can tell when you watch it), too bad its hard to find. what i can get from this movie is the strong brotherhood in such a condition and the individual losses everyone endure, and how the commanding officers felt regret for doing such a stupid thing because of their seniors forcing them & costing the young sailors life without any real benefit to the war
The honor of being in the biggest battleship - Battleship YAMATO would be really glorious. But i won't like being inside her when shes going to Okinawa.

Japan chose to fight Western European nations because of events after WW1 and other ambitions. The Washington Naval Treaty did not recognize them as a superpower and limited their shipbuilding. Japan sought to remove European colonies in SE Asia, such as French Indochina, the Dutch East Indies, the Phillipines, Malaya/Singapore, et cetera. The US and West Europe saw the Japanese as inferior and did not agree with them, thus Japan isolated themselves from the Allies and wanted to become supreme.

自虐的な思考でもなく国力30分の1未満でアメリカ海軍の空母沈められただけ凄まじい戦果だし列強の中で最下位位だとしても海軍なら3本指にはいるし陸軍の小銃性能も世界水準。太平洋戦争を超える海軍同士の決戦は未だに行われていない。戦争の悲惨さはあるがそれを戦い抜いた方々には敬意を表したい。
アメリカは長期戦に持ち込まないと勝ち目はないと言っていたそうですからね

航空機の時代になり、小さい艦艇が活躍し始め、戦艦である大和たちの意義は消え始めた。
それでも日本の栄光と象徴である事には変わりない。日本を守ってくれてありがとう！

航空機の時代を作ったのは日本軍であり、「戦艦は役立たず」と証明したのも日本軍ではあるんだがな。

それを言ったら当時アメリカも日本の軍艦の名前をほぼ把握しとったで。
