I’m just a 50, but I’ve been into elevators longggg before getting into the trade. End goal is to own an elevator and be able to service it myself, just like this haha. It’s really cool to see your progress on this. Honestly I’ve been following your channel for a longgggg time and your elevator content has been awesome to watch man!
The dover elevators at the mall I worked at would automatically go to the main level of the mall and open and go out of service when they received a signal from the fire pannel. I think the Fire Alarm at the time was Edwards 6800 from 1988 its since been replaced quite a few years ago EST now. I worked at the cinema in the mall and in stage two the projectors would shut down and we would have to explain to folks why the movie stopped etc. And start everything up again when we got the all clear from the FD...and hand out eev's Emergency Exchange Vouchers. Fun times ugg
@@GOPRepubliklan No we would evacuate everyone. The projectionist would shut down each projector one at a time as the ushers would tell everyone what was going on and evacuate everyone. We had radios for cummunication etc
Wow, that is one intricate piece of kit! Very cool! ^_^ Curiosity got the best of me so I looked it up and found a tutorial on how to actually make the adjustments (look up Dover I-2 Linden Elevator).
That's awesome! I always wondered how elevators worked, and how long until that one is fully operational? I subbed a month ago (I think), and the psych ward has already come so far! Merry Christmas!
Some real genius level thinkers pack things for amazon. I get boxes 20 times the size of the product. Things that are delicate are sent in stupid plastic bags while things that should be sent in a bag are boxed.
I still loved the one time I received two packages from Amazon. One was using one of their little mailing envelope things, and proudly telling me how it helps reduce waste or whatever. The other box was a small box packed in a needlessly huge box and tons of packing material.
Glad to see you restoring it instead of getting another company to completely modernize it.
it's almost always a better option. new stuff is crap
the way you just poked that live contactor with your finger... balls of steel!

Can’t wait to see that elevator working fully soon.
We would have the projectionist shut everything down all at once. We had radios to communicate with each other and would evacuate everyone.

So people would just sit and continue watching the movie through the fire alarms? Doesn't surprise me at all.

It’s a shame how bad shipping has got merry Christmas from Circleville, Ohio🎉
Hi man, Merry Christmas
I am curious about the difficulty of rebuilding that valve block. Would be interesting to see the insides of it.

I would like to see a long form video or something
I second this. Been waiting for long form videos, they don’t have to be perfect just hit record and do stuff around the place with some commentary.
Yay finally fixed
i wonder of the city will recertify this as you did the work your self and are not elevator techs in my town only a certified tech can do things to it
I think he is a certified tech, read description.
@@Baxiljn if he is he would not be buying used dover valve bodys he could get them directly through his company
Nice
That didn't come with the coils?
Hopefully you get a refund or a partial refund for the damage it sustained
Did someone say fish and chips?
I heard fish and chips!
Where's the fish and chips?! 😛😋😋
Merry Christmas
