I'm confused but intrigued because Roffle recently tried Odd Death Knight but made it a three rune deck and it was abysmal and I was hoping someone might try making a real deck!
Edited to add: your Rogue opponent was doing the classic Platinum Wild Player stuff, my friend. Wild is a strange beast where the entire Platinum rank consists of people memeing around mediocre and bad cards for fun and people who play terrible cards in good decks, like that Rogue playing Obsidian Shard, a card that I did not know existed and is actually just objectively worse than the Thief Rogue Quest, which is not worth running even in Wild.
I spent my time at Platinum rank playing Reno Colossal C'thun Druid, because Faelin and Azshara are really fun cards to me even to this day and there was a lot of really interesting stuff to do with good Druid cards and Zephrys.
To be fair, Roffle mostly plays wild and was probably playing in Legend (didn't watch that one); Chump I think was mostly in Platinum for this, so that might be part of the difference.
@@kourii no, it was just a genuinely bad deck because it had all three runes 😂 all of the really good odd DK cards are two or more Unholy or Frost. The main difference between Platinum, Diamond, and Legend in Wild is actually how much your deck is memeing, because I can easily get Legend there playing one of the meta decks, but usually hang around in Diamond playing godawful decks because they're fun.
@@amberlee4536 well rainbow is tricky not even adding in the trickery of Baku XD I normally get to trash legend and try goofball shit there, because there are too many tryhards in Platinum and Diamond to have as much fun goofing around (unless you want to be MarkMcKz and just hang out in high Silver and low Gold lol)

upgraded death knight hero power should be two 1/1's with charge that die because paladins is 2 1 1's and it would have an actual use in deathknights kit for getting 2 corpses.

I play wild almost all the time and always wondering while watching all these "fun and creative wild deck" videos, how are they finding all those opponents with meme decks?
obsidian shard? sorcerer gambit quest? pirate druid? kanrethad? get out of here I literally never see that on wild ladder.
where are all the timewarp quest mages, secret mages, big priests and shudderwock shamans that I face 90% of the time on wild ladder?
Because his MMR is extremely different from yours. Anyone who plays Wild all the time, unless they lose every single game they play, will have a higher MMR than a mostly Standard player

I bet they play tested it and discovered that doubling up your buffs would actually be way too busted.
@@Narokkurai If they let things like Astalor and Shockspitter release like that how is a double 1/1 on Odd DK (which you can play only in Wild, where the power level is ridicolously high anyway) too strong? I have a hard time believing they play test any of their cards to begin with.

@@ifael1 design-wise it's clearly meant to work more like mage's hero power, the lore there doesn't really matter
This was a pretty cool deck! As was the evens one.
I think they made a slight design error, however. In the spirit of keeping all costs odd, Baku should have reduced the cost of the hero power to one. And for your previous even deck, it would have been really awesome if Genn Greymane improved the hero power, which would then make it an even cost as well.
..I'm not really sure if this would make the decks better or worse, or be about the same. But either way, great games to watch.
The idea for Baku is that you go turn 1 1 drop then turn 2 hero power. Genn is the opposite, with turn 1 hero power and turn 2 2 drop. If you switch their effects, you pretty much kill all decks that concern them. Maybe you would find cooler interactions, but the synergy and the overall power of the decks goes down by a huge amount.
