I know I’m pretty late on making this video, but I finally finished it after working on it for a few weeks. Despite the repeated themes, I still enjoyed this drama as it’s such a beautiful love story. There’s great character growth with the main characters: from the funny bickering scenes at the beginning to the heart-warming scenes of them falling in love to the heart-wrenching separation and finally their reunion. Both main leads were great with their performances. They sure know how to deliver on those emotional/angst scenes. 🥰 Their relationship has a lot of angst (very typical of xianxia dramas), but it was never one-sided. They both equally suffered in their love by each other’s rejections but they never stopped loving each other even though they’re unwilling to admit it. They were separated for early 900 years yet that love never died. I love the idea of the butterflies always flying around our main leads. Their journey together has taught them to learn how to love better and trust each other. I will admit this drama was overlooked due to other dramas I was watching (Love Like the Galaxy and Love Between Fairy and Devil) and initially ended up dropping this drama. However, I continued with this drama after so many recommendations and requests I make an edit for this drama. Thank you to those who gave me the nudge to continue, otherwise I would’ve missed out on this great watch.
Lol same as me, I put it on hold and focus only on LLTG and LBFAD, later continue because I was already in the middle and my two favs were there. I enjoy it but this xianxia was really not that well executed😪

The bond I have with this drama and its characters is quite special, so huge thanks for this fantastic edit making me feel one more time the experience I had with this drama.
I started to watch this drama for Yang Zi and Cheng Yi and I didn't regret it. I love everything about the drama its cast, its story and its OSTs. Yes, most of the time it was sad, I had tissues with me while watching the eps but I enjoyed it despite everything. Yang Zi and Cheng Yi's acting are perfect as always. I can watch it again when I miss them. I suggest everyone to watch it. Thank you for this beautiful video MK916, I feel emotional again after watching it. I'm happy and sad at the same time.
Yang zi and cheng yi are made for historical drama they look so good in historical drama and both are together as cp is so hot seriously their acting in this drama so good never disappointed us
So many people saying they've dropped this drama just because others says it. Because of the ending or whatever, just basically because some said it. If I were to watch the drama no matter how it seems boring to everyone, I will never give it up until it ends. To make a review, everyone must finish it. Thank you for making this video, this summarized the story of Immortal Samsara. I Am planning to rewatch this again. I'd love to feel all the scenes again no matter how sad , tragic and funny this may seem all in one go. While this was on air, I never get myself watch other dramas. 🐢 The actors here are great most especially Yang Zi, she never fail to make me feel every emotions in every character she's in. She's just amazingly wonderful! 💜
Agree with you that the actors were great in this drama, especially the main leads. I personally feel that Cheng Yi can portray his amazing acting skills better in this drama with the three characters that he played. As for Yang Zi, she great in every role that she plays. These two were great in their emotional/angst scenes. I definitely shed tears often in this drama. 😭

This drama is BRILLIANT. The cast popularity aside, both Cheng Yi and Yang Zi did such a fantastic job in portraying the pain, anguish and regret through 900 years of turbulence and heartache of Ying Yuan and Yan Dan. The character development of both roles are so well executed by the ML and FL, loved how their roles are reversed in the mortal world where mortal Tang Zhou was willing to let go of his responsibility to be with YD while YD learns to love YY more maturely and begins to understand the importance of call of duty. Both characters evolved so much as they experience love, pain and hardships together. YY 2.0 in particular is so enjoyable to watch and sexy daddy Xuan Ye is a bonus 🎉

OMG we are same, after watching Love between Fairy and Devil and also Love Like The Galaxy, I start to look this drama (based on other recommendation). I usually look for the summary video like this to know if I'm interested or not before really start watching, so very thank you for your effort!! For this 'short' video seems like this drama is promising (just like what you said, it's repetitive theme but still, I like it LOL) .. but I feel like I wish I could change the male lead 😄 (no offense to the fans, it's just my preference) .. 59 episodes is really long for me, I'm worried about the filler and I'm not sure about the ML, so I'm a bit afraid to start watching it 😂
Have you watched the male lead in Love & Redemption? He was great in that drama and that was when I first noticed him. He’s really really good in fantasy dramas and I somehow like him more in this drama than L&R.

The thing is I watched Immortal Samsara first then Love & Redemption. Quite like IS but I love L&R more, so my view of Ceng Yi is not much improve until I watch L&R 😂.. Thank goodness I watch L&R otherwise I'll leave Ceng Yi as it is 😅

I have a lot of requests for an edit on L&R. I will eventually make a video for it in 4K, but I have some other dramas to watch currently. 😅

I really waited for this edit since I've never watched the whole drama. But watching this made me remember Love and Redemption since it's kinda similar to Love and Redemp in some parts of this drama.
This drama does have some similar themes as other xianxias, such as Love & Redemption, and goes through quite a bit of angst. They are similar in that aspect.
