Saw your bike/padle with Simon, great content. The outer panel I would place a tieout in the middle off, stops it flapping in the wind but the real solution is to see how you can mount the awning higher, still would do the tieouts. The bug net I would fold up and sew in place with a heavy but soft thread. Makes it a bit finicky to zip up due to the loop the zipper makes. Did that on a bugnet porch for a camper. I also brought wood poles with holes tru them, put them tru the channel you made and you can tie the to the corner poles or a ground anchor.
Wow thanks so much for the quick reply! I have basically built an off road camping trailer with the awning attached, It stands around 1.80m where the awning is fixed so Iam also thinking the 1.7m regular version would be more suited! Also if it’s not, it’ll be easier to sell on 🤣🤣 I can’t imagine a big difference in height with your vehicle and my trailer so I will go with your advice! It may also be a little more taught this way also! Thank you so much Martin! 👍🏻👍🏻
@Shanorooney if you look at this recent video you can see it is a little to tall. Overnight in the Tentbox Cargo roof tent at Narborough. | Catch & Cook. th-cam.com/video/zcnH65HjSJY/w-d-xo.html
Hi there, Thank you for the Video and Review! Really helpfull! I've noticed you have a cool-looking solar panel system installed on the top of cargo! May I ask for some details :)
Thanks for watching. Check out this video explaining it a little more th-cam.com/video/OFEO40s0qwQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=C8qe89FZIrfDFMeb All items needed are in the description
Hi, now owning one myself and am wondering whether the floor edging sits on the outside for pegging down and also the rain can run off away from the setup?
If you’re talking for the cargo 2 then yes but the awning room has its advantages and disadvantages. 1 it’s great as a shelter when the doors are up 2 it’s pitch black inside when all the doors are closed.
Let’s be honest the floor should be part of the hole set up not separate piece. It should be build like tent. And overall this awning look flimsy and weak. Spend more more money once and be happy twice. Bush company awning don’t need pegs to withstand Scottish win just saying. And the room attached is amazing. you got what you paid for.
Best tentbox content on the tube! Cheers
Thank you

Well I was just about to order this for my awning and thankfully came across this honest video I shan’t be ordering it now
Great video thanks Martin! Which version did you go for please? The regular 1.7m or the tall 2.2m?
Thanks Martin
Mine is the 2.2 but would be better if I had the smaller version.

@@Vildmark Thank you, I will check it out now! Thanks for your help! 👍🏻👍🏻
Looks very dark though compared to ARB, needs some windows really!
Yeah very dark. No windows but you can roll the sides up. Not very helpful in the rain though.

I had thought of the myself but decided to peg it inside.
@user-dd6ge6kk2u that’s correct
Hi do you think the living pod would be better and more sturdy?
If you’re talking for the cargo 2 then yes but the awning room has its advantages and disadvantages. 1 it’s great as a shelter when the doors are up 2 it’s pitch black inside when all the doors are closed.
@@Vildmark ok thanks yes sorry meant for the classic 2 which I'm going to look at later in the week
@alanburns2656 is definitely have a think about it. If there was a living pod for the cargo 1 I would have gone for that.
Is it fully waterproof
Not been tested in a downpour so cant honsetly say sorry.
Hi do you get awning with it ?
It’s a separate purchase. It clips on the awning.
You would need to purchase awning and awning room at cost of about £700 wowza think I buy living pod cheers for advice
Any discount code mate
@TheGarrity09 you can try vildmark but I think that’s just for the tents.
@TheGarrity09 the living pod only fits on the cargo 2.0. We are waiting for an adapter to be released for the cargo 1.0
So dark inside
Get a light. Turn it on. Ez and cheap.

You could get some cord through those front eye holes on the ground sheet and peg out side
Can you not raise the front telescopic pegs to create more height take some of the slack material up?
You can slightly. It does raise the front but puts strain on the horizontal bars as they are being pushed up once you extend the legs.
