They de-aged Blaine so that he was younger than Kurt. It was pretty clear in s2 that Blaine was an upperclassman in the Warblers. Then all of a sudden not only does he join New Directions, but he's also a year YOUNGER than Kurt.
They really wasted Quinn as a character overall. She had such amazing character growth in Season 1, and a promising friendship with Mercedes, only for her to revert back to her old ways by the time Season 2 rolled around.
Speaking of travel, it takes an hour and a half to get from Lima, OH (main school) to Westerville (Dalton Academy, Warblers), and 2 and a half hrs from Lima to Akron (Carmel High, Vocal Adrenaline). All these students spontaneously travel to the other schools like it was a short drive.
They did Mercedes dirty and they did not know what to do with her character and then they made her a joke. She had so much retention and she was so beautiful and talented. Also, her and Sam were like the perfect couple.
The fact that left puzzled was how quick Quinn went from wheelchair to walking and dancing in a matter of episodes. According to Glee logic it took her 3 to 5 weeks. When I got hit by a car (age 9), it took me over 1 year to go from wheelchair to Walker to Crutches to walking and I was 10 when I took my first step again. So how did she do it in 3 weeks at least.
True. I remember in season 1 Rachel wiretapped the choir room in order to see who was and wasn't singing, and group performances prior to that sounded like everyone was singing. My theory is that the performances in the show for the most part are what the show wants the audience to hear, and not necessarily what they actually sound like.
literally, Quinn should’ve been so much more. they did my girl Diana Agron first. she should’ve had so much more screen time. she was one of the most authentic characters on glee.
Quinn goes from losing the movement on her legs to being able to do and rehearse a full choreography in like a month. Joe, who’s only trace of personality was being a christian and having a crush on Quinn, completely disappeared after the moment she decides she will be prom queen with Finn. Like, he stays in the show but there’s not a single new information about him.
They answered the budget issue. Kristen chenoworths character was Funding it after she married a millionaire. There was an episode later on where she came back and told them there was no more money from her divorce settlement since they blew it all on “elaborate performances for themselves”
Don’t forget the crazy amount of times Kurt, Blaine and a few other characters were able to switch between McKinley and the Warblers school (can’t remember the name) without them or their parents even thinking or worrying about the the thousands in tuition they paid out for the private school just for their kid to want to switch to a public school for some high school romance or the hassle that enrolling a kid into a new school during the school year must’ve caused! Didn’t Kurt’s dad work a blue collar job, Would he even be able to afford thousands a month in tuition only for his son to just disregard it because love? Did Blaine even live in the same district as McKinley?!?
what exactly was expected for us to do with the information that Ryder is dysflexic? how did Jesse not get into NYADA, but Brody did? where did it went all the urge Puck and Quinn had for being around Beth?? how they all have literal photographs of scenes in their decorations?
I was always a little annoyed that Quinn ominously hinted at "Big Plans" to derail Nationals in New York... Only to merely get a haircut in the next episode. Talk about a letdown.
Why was Sue Sylvester never busted for how she treated students? Screaming at them, belittling them, shoving them into lockers...she should have had multiple lawsuits filed against her but...nothing.
Mr. Schuester was the school's Spanish teacher. In the first season, he spoke to someone (maybe a cleaning lady) in fluent Spanish. But in a later season, he reveals that he doesn't know Spanish at all and he has to take a course with a Spanish teacher played by Ricky Martin. That always bothered me. Aside from students coming on the show and then disappearing without a word, like Joe with the dreadlocks. Where'd he go?
I can not get over the amount of people who do not get that many of the performances were imagined. Yes they did the song but the props and costumes weren't really there, it represented how it could look if they had the budget.
@@gracemangum A big group performance of Singing in the Rain/Umbrella is no different from Rachel singing into her hair brush, then singing in the hallways of McK. The bulk of performances had a fantasy element to them.
That makes a lot of sense. I thought she had those big plans, but then gave up planning when she realized how depressed she was. Unless her big plan was to get her Ryan seacrest tattoo 😂
How the fuck Mr. Schue didn't get sent to prison for PLANTING DRUGS IN FINN'S LOCKER in the very first episode is something I will never understand. I don’t think I've ever seen a show more admently defend an adult threatening a child into doing what he wants in my life. And no, Finn being maddeningly OK with it for some reason does not make it better
The budget thing is really honestly just how they're envisioning the numbers they're doing. It's the full imagining of what the numbers could be, not the actual performance that they would practice. It's just for the TV aspect for us to see their imagination.
Everything about Quinn made me feel for the actress, Dianna. Ryan Murphey and Lea Michele despised her that by the time Season 3 rolled around, she had become a background character with fewer solos and if you pay attention they even tried to avoid her being "filmed." She had a miraculous voice and Dianna played Quinn the way they wrote her! If he hated her so much, why did they write her character that way? All the wasted potential with her and Mercedes always annoyed me. There are two moments of them being "together" after Season 1, GRADUATION THEY ARE HUGGING, AND IN THE FINALE THEY ARE BY EACH OTHER. That's it, it seems they took Quinn and Mercedes and made it Santana and Mercedes. Don't get me wrong I love Santana and Naya, but it was supposed to be Quinn's friendship.
Ryan was a gay middle age man jealous about Dianna's beauty so he he hated even tried to k1ll the character is car accident but then we saw Quinn in wheelchair for 2 episodes, the writers didn't know what to do with Quinn
The glee clubs budget isn't even a question April Rhoades funds the glee club from season 2 until season 5 when the money ran out then Rachel funds the glee club in season 6
There was a theory that Finn was originally going to resolve the feud between Ryder and Unique. After he died, the writers probably couldn’t figure out another way to resolve their conflict.
Question 8 - I feel like the answer is in the explanation you gave. They can perform infront of the school with figgins approved songs but all the numbers that they do aren’t infront of the school, they just do it in the auditorium
Are we gonna talk about how many times Ms. Pillsbury got engaged and married just to be in love with Will throughout EVERY relationship 😂and what happened to Ken Tanaka?🤔 Edit: I’m aware he had a nervous breakdown supposedly but where did he go? Where was the divorce episode 🤣
Sunshine Corazon came back to the Philippines, and although she and Rachel talked it through, what happened to her in a new direction greatly affected her. She transitioned after coming back to her country and was now known as Jake Zyrus. Thanks.
They changed Blaine's character completely. When we met him in season two, he was arguably the most mature, most rational, most confident, and easy going character on the series (including the adults). Then In season three he suddenly became excitable, jealous and insecure. But the writers never gave a rational explanation for any of it.
I watched the episode Feud, I think it’s safe to say that Blaine Anderson deserved better than what Sue Sylvester did to him, and her rendition of Nicki Minaj’s Super Bass is LITERALLY the worst thing I’ve ever seen! In fact if Nicki Minaj seen that, she would be completely shocked and dismayed!
The question i think will never be answered is from "The Quarterback" episode; Sue takes $20 from Kurt to replace Finn's tree because it was "stolen/uprooted" but Puck returns it. Does Kurt get that $20 back or is he out of luck lol
God, there’s so many characters that got the shaft in favour of Rachel or Blaine or whatever godawful rap Mr. Schue was doing. And that cover of River Deep, Mountain High still fucking *kills*.
I questioned the budget thing with Umbrella/Singing in the rain. One of my favorites yet in the next episode they are hard up for money for nationals and have to share two two-bed hotel rooms. Anyway the continuity of this show is atrocious 😅
The moments that also left me puzzled include: 1. Blaine's schooling decisions. Blaine left his prestigious school to join Kurt at McKinley so they would spend more time together and also so they wouldn't be glee competitors. But it felt like it was Blaine's decision and not his parents'. On what grounds did his parents accept him to change schools just like that? At some point he also wanted to return to his former school after his relationship with Kurt had ended. 2. The dismissal of some New Directions characters. Some characters like Joe and Sugar were notably absent in season 5 and parts of season 4 without an explanation why. 3. How did Kurt's and Santana's New York relationships end? While in New York, we saw Kurt and Santana move on and finding new loves. But Santana made up with Brittany and Kurt with Blaine without a proper explanation of how their other newfound relationships ended. After that we never even saw their New York beau's anymore. 4. What happened to Kurt's kickass cover band? Season 5 saw Kurt forming a cover band and they were doing quite well. And despite Rachel and Santana's feud which forced Kurt to take them out forming One Tree Hill, questions are left unanswered when they stop getting together and performing.
As a former show choir kid in Ohio, I wondered how they literally never practiced any of their songs and the numbers performed at competition were perfect without us the audience ever seeing them. 🙄 (Yeah it's a tv show, but it bugs me lol)
I used to be in a church choir and we practiced one pies for hours just to make it sound decent. But here's TV for ya - all you need is to believe in yourself and have a heavily autotuned voice :D
@@gracebleekman2557 I was being sarcastic. I 100% agree with you. It’s beyond ridiculous. If I remember right, Ryan Murphy hated Dianna Agron, so that’s why Quinn storylines were underwhelming or half baked.
10:45 I mean, THESE costumes were made by themselves, but still I get your point (and it also raises the question of how these kids can affort and create this crazy costumes...I mean we know that Tina and Kurt can at least sew clothes and stuff...but the rest? How did people like Santana, Brittany or Mercedes design their costumes? As well as the boys...although maybe they just bought already made costumes on the internet). I think the performances that anger me the most are the ones in season 5...Roar e.g., they made a whole freaking Jungle setting like wtf? 😂 or also numbers like Applause or The Fox. But at least it is recognized now and then...e.g. by Sue in the 100th episode when she tells Will that all of April's money (that she spent the glee club once) is now gone bc of all these crazy, extraordinary set designs and costumes. Loved this scene 😂
I would like a Glee Sequel series. Tributing to the most recent Actor/Actress to die. Naya Rivera. Plot: It’s a new generation of the club with new friends. And they all have something they all share with their parents. And some of them, one of their parents died. Tributing to the cast members who died. And for That. We could renovate High schools, universities and colleges in Canada, USA, Mexico, China, South Korea, India, Italy, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. Add glee music classes. And would all be based on the first season of glee. And would be bringing back Much Music. Please submit my comment.
10:30 well to be fair, didn't they make their own costumes for the Gaga episode in S1? The budget of the Glee club did always baffle me. Some comments are going on about how they're imagining all of them, but this is absolutely not true of all of the numbers. This is a school where they have to cut budgets so bad they're getting rid of the coffee pot for the teachers FFS, but even for example in the opener of S2 when they sing in the school courtyard, they're all wearing matching shirts. That's not imagined. April funding the Glee club is a silly retcon to address something fans at the time also brought up, so they hand-waved a joke explanation at it. The Glee writers liked to have fun with the audience, like when they had Jacob ask about Will rapping in S2.
Not all of the big production number are to be taken literally. sometimes they are just a particular singer's fantasy of preforming on stage with full backup
I have queation: How old Sue Silvester is? In season 6 episode 5 she had flashback be on cast for role of Princess Lea for Star Wars, which was in 1976 or 1977, over 40 years before...
This show had so many plotholes and stories that made no sense. It's like Ryan Murphy has no understanding of logic and reality. And considering AHS has just as many problems, we know it's not a Glee issue but a Ryan issue. Besides the obvious issues about characters suddenly switching behaviors or sexualities out of nowhere just for shock value or ratings (Karofsky and Santana much?), how about the apartment? They were just coming and going and I know that you can NOT add people to a lease or as roommates just like that without landlord approval, and that Thanksgiving party/rave would most definitely result in eviction. It had to be a violation of a fire code. Also, the incredibly fast rate at which Puck joined the army. He was only thinking about it and then a couple of weeks later he's in full uniform. He'd have needed to enlist, go through all the health tests and then basic training. That's even assuming they take him based on his juvenile record. BTW, whatever happened with his probation sentence? One episode, never mentioned again and he had done shady stuff after that.
It’s sad to hear them mock the Right to Disconnect proposal. It means employers cannot expect employees to work for free outside of work hours. Where is the issue there? And yes, Jimmy, expecting an employee to answer your texts or emails away from work falls under work.
Why was Puck standing in the back of the auditorium during Don't Stop Believing at the end of the Pilot Episode? What happened to Kate Hudson and Brody? they just disappeared, in the first season Finn and Santana had sex, why did they change her sexuality in season 3?, also why was Santana allowed to break into NYDA to confront Brody? she wasn't a student. In the Wemma wedding episode, Santana and Quinn hooked up, why didn't they explore this relationship further?
Ryan Murphy is a terrible writer. He's good at starting things but they go off the rails very quickly. The continuity is dreadful and any character growth is wiped and forgotten about. Sue was awful one week then amazing the next. If a school had a glee club that talented it would have nurtured them and screamed their name at every opportunity, and probably got a lot of funding from art charities that exist solely to promote the exact thing they were doing. The worst thing they did was have the cast graduate, then fail to split the show into a spin off. Instead they replaced the lost kids with exact copies and kept splitting between the students and graduates. There was so much wrong with the show, but it was till entertaining for the most part.
The story continuity, or lack there of, is soooooo fumbled that it made this show unwatchable after only a few seasons! Like the writers gave up after only the first few episodes, which has become the norm for most of Ryan Murphy’s work it seems. 👎🏼
Serenity was proof that Firefly was better off as a one and done. Besides, with the one-two punch (womp womp) of Adam Baldwin and Joss Whedon being abusive pieces of shit, I’m not sure that keeping Firefly going would’ve worked out well in the long run. But I agree about Freaks and Geeks. Undeclared is also underrated.
The easiest answer to that question was the music. Still to this day the glee rendition of some songs are the best version. They made a ton of money off of the music. So it didn't really matter how bad the show was.
I mean, nothing for nothing, but Glee was an absolute sensation when it first arrived on the scene. It was HUGE. That's the only reason it even limped on for as long as it did after the first three seasons. Whether you liked the show or not you can't deny it was truly a phenomenon.
I have less to say about unanswered questions and more to say about moments in the show that predicted real world events. Like, was anybody else utterly creeped out by some of the things Puck said or did that mirrors what he wound up going to jail for? The show had his character tell Finn that he has dibs on the female students whose breasts haven't developed yet. Freaking yikes. Of all honesty, mojo can have a top 10 list of things he said that didn't age well at all.
I'm re-watching Glee now and WOW there are some things that just do NOT play the same. Such as Holly Holiday telling Puck and Zizes that their sex tape would be considered child p___ and then the camera turns to Puck for a reaction. I turned to my fiancee and was just like, YIKES. Santana talking about dying young so much as well is ROUGH. I get a lump in my throat when they have those moments.

Awesome Glee moments!
Why did the band never graduate??
Did santana still work at the diner and where did she and brittany live when they moved to New york
You should also do 10 times santana was a good friend
They de-aged Blaine so that he was younger than Kurt. It was pretty clear in s2 that Blaine was an upperclassman in the Warblers. Then all of a sudden not only does he join New Directions, but he's also a year YOUNGER than Kurt.
Which made his *regression* from S2 worse. By S5 he was a self conscious caricature of himself. And insufferable by 6.
They really wasted Quinn as a character overall. She had such amazing character growth in Season 1, and a promising friendship with Mercedes, only for her to revert back to her old ways by the time Season 2 rolled around.
Totally agree
They should have given her a therapy arc in which she sought counseling for her attachment and control issues
When they say "hit it!" the band miraculously knows which song to play.
I loved when Brad goes on a whole rant about that Alone the one time Brad talks

@@olliesweirdworld Different injuries, duh?
I never really thought about the budget, until it got brought up here, because it would cost a lot for the glee club to do everything in the show
#9 is easily explained as she is never heard singing solo, only in groups which can mask her actual singing.
True. I remember in season 1 Rachel wiretapped the choir room in order to see who was and wasn't singing, and group performances prior to that sounded like everyone was singing.

another is in season 2 Quinn reveals she had brown hair but dyed it but when she gives birth to Beth she has blonde hair and Puck has black hair…
The big question I have is; when do they have time to get any school work done?
1:30 they also declined Becky access to the ND at the end of season 2
4:57 Oh Lady Gaga. Telephone featuring Beyonce.

Also another question I still have is why Quinn is allowed to be standing like three episodes after she got hit by a car. It’s so dumb.
It’s because she sang “I’m still standing”.
Once the writers got the irony song out of their systems, they had nowhere to go.
@@beautifulmidnight Yes I do understand that but at the same time she’s allowed to be walking afterwards.
@@gracebleekman2557 I was being sarcastic. I 100% agree with you. It’s beyond ridiculous.
If I remember right, Ryan Murphy hated Dianna Agron, so that’s why Quinn storylines were underwhelming or half baked.
@@beautifulmidnight Sounds good I guessed you were being sarcastic but still.
Lauren zizes still at McKinley even though she was senior with Finn and Rachel
I loved her character, I still don't know why they got rid of her
10:45 I mean, THESE costumes were made by themselves, but still I get your point (and it also raises the question of how these kids can affort and create this crazy costumes...I mean we know that Tina and Kurt can at least sew clothes and stuff...but the rest?
Why don't you start a Glee Fandom with those ideas
I love these Glee moments!
I really liked Quinn new hairstyle in season 3
Last one is the most important, but here in Mexico we do magic with nothing hahahaha So, I understand.
I want to know what happened to Matt Rutherford and why he never spoke 😅🤷♀️
Not all of the big production number are to be taken literally. sometimes they are just a particular singer's fantasy of preforming on stage with full backup
One more question : was pilot episode necessary to be in season 6 even if season was shorter then rest seasons?
I have queation: How old Sue Silvester is? In season 6 episode 5 she had flashback be on cast for role of Princess Lea for Star Wars, which was in 1976 or 1977, over 40 years before...
What is the song that is playing in the background throughout the video?
I wish they were still around So they can sing the song "there's nothing holdin me back"
And Dynamite by BTS
A lot of those elaborated performances are fantasies I think, unless many episodes make it looks like it is.
I really wanted to see more of Cooper but sadly that didn't happen
The budget was explained in the 100th episode. April Rhodes funded the auditorium until she became broke.
The more stuff from Glee I rewatch the more I realize just how AWFUL this show actually was
where is Sunshine Corazon? She became a HE. lol!
Sunshine is now midnight rain
My favorite glee
And why did Sebastian face no consequences for assaulting Blaine?
shelby is a witch of music?
I mean, she is played by the wickedly talented Adele Dazeem.
The story continuity, or lack there of, is soooooo fumbled that it made this show unwatchable after only a few seasons! Like the writers gave up after only the first few episodes, which has become the norm for most of Ryan Murphy’s work it seems. 👎🏼
#10 #9 & #1 never made sense.
Aren’t rachel’s parents loaded? Now for kurt… idk how he does it.
I want to know how Finn died.
the budget mystery was solved in the 100th episode. they were using April's savings. A stupid explanation tho
Glee doe'snt make sense
Is Chris colfers character still biphobic
Is Ryan Murphy still biphobic? Probably.
@@beautifulmidnight oh most definitely.
The biggest question of all......how the f#$@ did this piece of s#$% show last 6 seasons while Freaks and Geeks, Deadwood, and Firefly got the ax?
