Big shoutout to the ones who translated and subbed this. They did an amazing job; it's the best one out there! RIP Chiba sensei, one of the absolute legends.
It's impressive the perfection of any movement of the shinai...when I see a hatchi-dan using a shinai I think every time that he would be able to cut your body without a real sword!
I can see it being disrespectful too but if it gets people excited about kendo, that's a good thing. It also seems to be a "tongue in cheek" translation which is I believe obviously a joke: "ooo," "aah," for example. RIP Chiba Sensei
His type of Jodan stance is suitable for "kendo". Definetly not a Jodan stance you want to use in Iaido, budo, tameshigiri, and especially kenjutsu in general. Kendo is all about speed. But if you want to have a more precise and effective cutting, do it the right way.
