His type of Jodan stance is suitable for "kendo". Definetly not a Jodan stance you want to use in Iaido, budo, tameshigiri, and especially kenjutsu in general. Kendo is all about speed. But if you want to have a more precise and effective cutting, do it the right way.
Show some respect to this old sensei. This is not the way you learn from "rei" in Kendo. This translation really makes me sick.
I can see it being disrespectful too but if it gets people excited about kendo, that's a good thing. It also seems to be a "tongue in cheek" translation which is I believe obviously a joke: "ooo," "aah," for example. RIP Chiba Sensei

Eiga's kote at the end was really subtle. Quite strategic how he waited the whole fight for Miyazaki to go for men before unleashing the counter attack.
