I have been wanting to know how to split an STL for wall art for months now without success. I have been struggling with splitting into printable pieces and creating the pins/voids to connect them easily. Would really appreciate a video explaining the process :)
you can just open up a cad software and do some simple math to see how many squares you need to cut it into ie if you have a 200x200 print area and a 600x600 object you will need at least 9 squares, all you have to do is draw a line where you want to split it then usually there is a split option like in fusion 360 which is what he is using there is a split body option.
Hi, unfortunately I've deleted those files already.. but I will try to make video of how to split STL files in Fusion 360, it should not be hard, it is beginners level practice
