Omggggg. So this video is beautiful but I want to thank you so much because I've never used anything acrylic other than paint. I ordered the keychains from Amazon and they looked frosted so I was disappointed until now I never knew there is a film Overtop of the acrylic to protect it I'm so excited to try this now.

Do these hold up good without some kind of sealant on them? Im making some similar for gifts but thought I would need to seal the vinyl somehow.
That sucks you haven’t gotten a response.
So she replied to the this in the very first comment at the very bottom😊 basically she said if it’s a good quality vinyl you don’t have to. But sometimes she resins them. Hope that helps! 😊

No.. u add the background to the back and the name to the front
Do you cover the vinyl with a protectant?
I love this! I ordered the files from Etsy. When I bring in to design space they come in at size 1.85, did you just leave that size for 2 inch rounds? Thanks so much!!
Hello! Yes, my keychain files are always a tad bit smaller than the 2" rounds so they don't go over the edge when being applied.
What setting to cut the templates , sometimes my Cricut won’t cut too tiny cuts thanks

That's very nice to you you are giving svg. I will try it. I I'm really enjoying you tutorial. I got a Marker for my bday . I updated from a Brother scancut machine . But honestly I'm not very crazy about Circuit. I did do a cut test with my tablet. . But what I dont like, is that I can't get it to connect to my computer in the other room. Vs Brothers scancut machine I can.
I am thinking of getting a Maker too. I have the Scan and Cut 2

Does anyone have tips on sealing vinyl decals that have different finishes? I love to do metallic finish lettering on top of a matted background design. But I was dumb buying a high gloss spray sealer. I just want to some how seal the intricate designs without compromising its finish.

No, you don’t need a heat press for keychains

My svg cut files come with holes already in the design so you don’t need to try and cut holes :)

I don’t seal mine but I use permanent vinyl orcal 651 it’s waterproof

What do you do if you have longer names? Do you not take the order. I have an order for 10 letters😳
You would use a thicker font and make the name small to fit. You could also purchase larger keychain blanks. I'm using 2" ones but you can also get 3 or 4" blanks.

I tried my first one, with the paint stroke background, but when I turned it around to put the name on the front the adhesive side of the paint stroke wasn’t smooth (the adhesive part) it was blotchy (for lack of better wording). (The vinyl was “smooth” is just you could see adhesive texture?) I wish I could show picture on here. How do you get it smooth so you can’t tell it’s the adhesive side?
Did you get air bubbles underneath? I always get as close as possible and hover over the acrylic to line things up. With the ones with the hole, I line up the notch for the hole and the bottom. As I lower it down, I let the top edge drop then sort of uncurl the rest of the vinyl across the piece in a top to bottom move. some people do it from left to right. Some bend it like a taco and center carefully and slowly letting it unroll from the center to the edges. Just control the way it lays down so you don't get bubbles.
@@lindyq7534 I ended up using the wet method and it ended up pretty good! A lot better. I wasn’t having issue with bubbles/air, it was more texture of the adhesive side.

@@lindyq7534 you lightly spray with water (some people add a drop of liquid dish soap in the water) then you apply the vinyl and push the water out as you use the squeegee tool.

Hello i just watched some of your tutorial and im on it... im just thinking do do mine also.... those vinyl stickers will not easily remove on the acrylic chain? Or do you put anything above on it like resin or any to cover? Thanks for your tutorial and share
Hello :) I have designed my svg patterns to have a blank "circle" area around the keychain hole so that the chain will never touch the vinyl. Sometimes, I resin over the top to cover it, however, when using good quality permanent vinyl, you do not need to.

yes :)
Could I ask how you did the purple keyring shown ? Are all the layers applied to one side ?
The design is applied to the "back" and then she flipped it over and put the name on the front side. You could put them both on the same side, but I think they look better on opposite sides.

what size are the stickers on the Keychain?
Love them, but they say free and then when we go to the site the file is $3.99. Is there a code I’m not seeing! How can I get them for free!

I design svg cut files and sell them in my shop (link in description)
I ordered keychains and so forth and got the svg files; having trouble with getting the images to adhere to the transfer tape. I can get them partly on it and then rest not so much. Frustrating.
Try a stronger transfer tape. Sometimes I use the Cricut strong grip transfer tape but stick it on a towel first to remove some of the stickiness.
