    Weldone Nanelle. Nothing is impossible and in all we bless God for His mercies. Just a piece of advice for migrants - take care of yourself ( mental health especially), help family and friends within your means, be focused, work on your growth and development, don't run another person's race and trust in God.

    I don't know why UK has refused to give PR from day 1 they entered the country to nurses and medical doctors. Certain priority prefession get PR immidiately when you get a job in New Zealand, USA, Canada and Australia for them to keep those professionals.
    That is why many nurses and medical doctors are leaving the Uk for these countries that give them PR immediately.
    That is why Uk will continue to be short staff of nurses and medical doctors as well as other health professionals, because Uk immigration law cannot allow them to retain these health professionals.
    This new Labour government needs to think.

    I came to the UK with over 10 years of experience as an accountant but getting an accounting job has been mission impossible. I have attended over 200 interviews but for some reason I can't land an accounting job. UK is not for some of us. I was discussing with my wife about going back home to wait for our US visa appointment. The US relocation program has taken over 3 years but we are almost there. I can't wait to leave the UK.

    The child benefit, housing benefits universal credit, childcare cost comes with rule. As a nurse you have contract to work 37.5 a week. With this ours you cannot get the benefit. It for people with income of 16000 and below. Childcare is a problem with uk citizens. So I know RCN is trying but the chances they will listen is less. These guys left eu to stop people from coming. It a thing to discourage nurses from coming to uk. Skilled worker visa in Germany, Netherlands are less than 5 years to get resident. I think it a way to restrict people from coming. Germany no tuition fees for students. But uk lots of money. Even home student undergraduate are in debt after graduation over £40000 to pay. So I think generally life in the UK is tough.

    • @waterlil07
      @waterlil07 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Almost anyone who has access to public funds can claim child benefit, but it's only about £100 per month for first child, less for second child and that's it. You'd have to earn something like £50k or £60k per month to not be eligible for child benefit.

  • @monna-Pac
    @monna-Pac 20 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

    Visa renewal or ILR fees are unnecessary especially after living in the UK for 5years and paying tax and NI and no benefits. It is not like I have been here living on government cost, I have been working soo hard, yet I need to pay over £10k for my family to get ILR. They should bring it to £1000 for adult and 500 for children and free for children born in UK. We are fed up with those non defined laws made with direct intentions to discriminate immigrants. When you open your doors to immigrants, you should mean it. Otherwise, close your doors and let those that are prepared to take in immigrants do it.

    The ILR policy is really bad. No discount for minors, same price as adult. If they can review that ILR so that children that came in with their parents don’t have to go through ILR before applying for citizenship. It will be good if the children that came in with their parent automatically qualifies for citizenship after one of their parents must have gotten their ILR.

    This is a major problem with the experiences of immigrants in the UK and it’s affecting the views of immigrants about the UK. This will likely affect immigration and labour availability ultimately and may be then, the UK will learn to be kind to immigrants. This idea of we want your contributions but don’t care about your interests will eventually boomerang unless the government, especially of the Labor Party acts fast. Immigrants are more of a blessing to the UK and there’s no doubt about that.

      I had this convo with a friend today. It's unfair to work as a registered nurse in the UK without benefits while paying tax. Having to wait 5 years to get ILR is beyond ridiculous
