im so glad you mentioned the lackluster dialogue !! it bothers me so much and i really wish they would expand heavily on it and just give us more options. it would be so refreshing and make me wanna play more for the gameplay aspect

- let us pick the type of town we go to (forest[with walls] or island)
- improved dialogue of villagers
- Spicy villagers (like the mean dialogue in Population Growing and WW)

Hey vis, sorry if you’ve heard this before already but, if you use a customization kit on your shovel or just any tools that can be customized, it resets the durability of the tool.

A normal shovel you can get from nooks cranny has 100 uses before breaking. I just kinda guess when I need to like customize the shovel again. If I’ve been using it a lot that’s typically when I go to reset the durability
its nice to hear someone else say the panini isnt over. A lot of disabled peeps got tossed under the bus when it "ended". I do still miss the slowness of 2020, it was horrible but also quiet, and i felt like i was participating on an equal playing field bc we were all stuck at home, online, and distracting ourselves w cute games. acnh will probs always be a comfort game for me, esp w little discord party nights lol

I 100% agree with you about video length. I know that a video is good when its over an hour long. I will consistently watch videos that are 2-3 hours long. before 2020, you couldn't find me watching a video that was more than 30 minutes long.

This is going to be my guess for the next game. So the game would start with you and tom nook in a plane. And tom nook is saying “we now finished the new horizon island. I have a new task for you in my old town that I own. I kinda abandoned them. So do you accept this new challenge”. Then you land in the town of new leaf but it all run down and you have to rebuild it all again. This town will be like the mainland. Then instead of villager hunting you will like have to send a newsletter to the villagers. You either can choose the specific animal species or just do it randomly form any animal species. So we still have control but not too much. Then like after you finish this island you will move to city folk town and rebuild that. Then on the new leaf town you will have the main street but you have to unlock all the shops and you have to convince the NPCs like the able sisters and like the older NPCs to move into them and you can help them to design it.

I wanna know why Nintendo has such a recurring problem of putting So Much detail and effort into a thing, only to completely fumble at the end.
Like the museum, they put an insane amount of detail into the museum, it's beautiful! But it's Nothing! You don't get Anything for completing it. The donate button doesn't even disappear!! Blathers doesn't even acknowledge that you finished it! It's so disappointing after months, some of us years, of work! Like... what's the point? 😐😐😮💨
The first time I entered the museum I teared up a bit because it was during pandemic (obviously) and I missed traveling and visiting exhibitions

@@letlizplay I was going for a mix between rural japanese and circus/carnival. That sounds so weird rn but it makes sense in my head haha. I have the shops as cafees and a library and wanted to build a carnival at the back of the island where there's also a port and neighborhood :)

I miss when the villagers could be bitchy lmao I hope they put more personality in the villagers in future games, they don’t have to go crazy but it cool if every villager had at least one special dialogue and not just catchphrase
The dialogue I absolutely love from this game is when a Lazy villager goes on a psycho description of why they're not allowed on cars, boats, planes etc.
i really miss the shopping district aspect of animal crossing. the harv’s island update really didn’t do it for me so i hope they bring it back. maybe they bring in new species too. like more reptiles and amphibians. either way i hope the next animal crossing is good and they put in the player’s feedbacks
The whole pandemic talk was so real though. I haven’t really thought about how much the pandemic changed my life and my daily routines down to the smallest things I do. It’s crazy.

It’s just weird to me because people complain about NH not having enough content but all of those people have like 1000+ hours in the game like bruh. 😂 The vast majority of single player games aren’t gonna have enough content for 1000+ hours, everyone needs to get some perspective.
We need new dialogue that gets updated like every 3-6 months. Every time I give Raymond a fossil he says the literal exact same thing line for line EVERY time. “Oh Blathers already has this in his collection! I’m an avid collector too, of shoes that is” RAYMOND YOU DONT WEAR SHOES STOP IT WE BOTH KNOW IF I GIVE YOU SHOES UR GONNA LOOK AT ME LIKE IM CRAZY

Hahaha that's true, and I was time traveling something fierce when I was playing regularly, but now I'm afraid of time traveling in ACNH because I'm scared ill forget to set the time back and end up breaking other games (mainly DDLV, but also Cozy Grove lol)
In 2020 I definitely was playing animal crossing like crazy. I have over 1000 hours now, but it’s been 3 years. So it’s least kept my attention that long. I also have two switches and two islands. I just feel like they could’ve improved a few things. It’s a pretty game, but we needed more gameplay. Hopefully they next game is an improvement from ACNH.

I've never reset, but I do have 2 switches/islands. My first 2020 island has been flattened fully twice, and changed theme probably 5-6 times doing a more bit-by-bit method lol. My second island has only had 1 iteration, but I'm ready to change it up soon!
I recently just started over, and cuz idk what theme to use or what media to base it off of, I named the character ‘me’ (with a bonus of making some confusing/funny dialogue) and the island “Hyperfix”, as in Hyperfixation, so that I’m not forced to stick to a certain theme, and I can always redecorate it based on my current media Hyperfixation (plus it kinda sounds space-y and I love space) I’ve met some cute villagers so far, and my first 3 Nook Ticket villagers were all super cute, at least to me, so I’m happy! (I have Flo and Rowan, the others are Nana, Dizzy, and Tabby, who I see as cute in a goofy cartoony way) I love the diversity so far!

Honestly I’m so happy that longer videos come back to TH-cam. Or do better again.
Before tiktok, I think around 2013 till like 2016 or something the videos were actually always longer. LP’s channels were doing so good. But then the algo changed probably bc of tiktok and its impact and ppl preferred shorter videos. That was the time a lot of channels that play games stopped posting play throughs and started playing games for like one episode. And it’s still like that, so I would love for it to go back to that longer video format. Like 15- 20 minutes should go back to the minimum (of course depending the content)
OMG YES!! 9 minute videos feel so short now but that was all I watched in 2020

edit: i still think the New Horizon’s dialogue is still worse than City Folk, because it’s still got a lot more character than NH. like there’s small little new changes or new good dialogue, but CF still brought good dialogue there. it would happen in NL too, but it was a LOOOT less repetitive and it still brought individual personality. Wild World and Population Growing were VERY abundant in individual personalities. i know they’re wary about making kids cry or get upset, but that’s just because some of the kids are understandably snowflakes. so maybe put some kind of option where you can filter out that stuff to keep them nice or something, like a parental mode.
Sparksby(small creator) just posted a video about coming up with a theme/ideas and such. Maybe thats inspo for you aswell ❤

talking about how long it takes to make new games now. looking at the new pokemon game i reaaaally wish that they take their time xd
and also talking about talking xd ppl say that theres too few dialogue but i dont think so. for example you dont have every type of villagers on your island because you plan ahead so idk you never have a jock villager or something, then youll never eperience that dialouge. or i dont have any amiibos and i tried one of a friend of mine, there must be sooo many sentences people without amiibo cards will never get to see. also people without happy home paradise but ig thats a bad example because not everyone wants to fully customize their (villagers) house/s? and also its not really a part of the game thats why ig thats a bad example yknow.
a german youtuber talked about nostalgia some days ago and he is completely right: i really hope the next animal crossing game wont be too nostalgic because thatll mean that its almost the same. having nostalgia when seeing a villager or their houses, tim n tommy thats fine but entering a game and getting over the top nostalgic must mean that almost everything is the same.
I was thinking about 2020 yesterday and I kinda missed it. But then i saw a random recap and I rememberd that black lives matter happend and how absolutly terribel it was seeing that in the news and not being able to help... 2020 was a horendus year over all and I think it really is a trauma response that we don't remember that

I restarted my island last night and no joke after 3 resets for the island that I wanted I got Cherry and Teddy as my starter villagers. You can bet I'm keeping that island and I am never decorating their houses. I want the world to know I got these god tier starter villagers. I'm so happy I restarted now.
