The dancer Raúl was born in Madrid in 1949. He performed in various Flamenco shows in Madrid until he formed his own group with whom he gave numerous performances in Spain and America. In the early eighties he formed part of the Tablao at the famous La Venta del Gato; his mastery of the zapateado (tap dance) stood out for amazing technique and good taste.

Que alegria ver este video, yo baile en la compania de Raul por varios añs en Mallorca e Ibiza, aprendi muchisimo de el y era una persona increible. Muchas veces pienso en el y me da tristeza de que se nos fue tan joven. Gracias por poner los videos! Tania

There is a thesis about him,"Spanish Flamenco dancer Raul's life and his mark",written by Sachiko Ogiyama in the university journalNo.47(2016) of Musashino Art University where is in Japan.
