I love how effortless the serve returns look in all these vidoes. In reality those balls are super short short and have sick amount of under/ side spin. Being able to flip let alone loop these serves is just amazing to me. I'm a 2050 player and i always struggle with serves when playing 2400 and up...wish I could read the spin better :(
man Wang Liqin looks like he is in really good shape in this new video. He seriously hasn't aged almost at all in the past decade. He is probably the most athletically fit table tennis player in history
@wasdwasdedsf What I meant was a style that depends on the opponent attacking constantly so you can go far away from the table and primary get the ball back on the table very high. I know nobody does only that, but Maze, Saive, Samsonov, Boll and even Xu use this resource often.
The coaches said that wang's fh was still marginally more powerful than malong's. but he got execution, consistency problem. his bh is not as great as malong/zhangjike's. he usually uses it to block instead of looping n winning pts like ma n zhang do. his fh is powerful only when he can use it properly. wang doesn't utilize his forehand fully in many occasions like returns n counterloops.wang also has problem adaptin his opponent's services n executing gd returns great play by maze! cheers!
Maze is without a doubt, the best ball lifter ever, greater than J.M. Saive or Xu Xin. Maze´s topspin at 8-8 in the 5th set was incredible. Still cant believe he beat WL xD
@dogpingpong thats it, just listen to their blades (especially wang liqin ones, it's almost like in times of speed glue although he uses his normal rubbers without speedglueing them! and the fact that he has been disqualified because of illegal use of boosters at the kuwait open proves this statement I think, he is just hoping for not being tested or his boosters not to be found!) well, as everybody is doing it it's getting fair again! :-)
maze lost almost two points per set by failure of serve , but it didn't affect the results. lovely😂 the time after wang scores the point by several attacks to the sky balls from maze , wang smiles with much confidence. 👍
