You remind me of my dad. He was always looking for a cheap plane to pick up and get running. He bought a gul wing v77 stinson that was used in ww2 than sat in a hanger in MN for over 40 years without seeing the light of day. He bought it and flew it home to central ND after spending 1 week working on it. Watching you makes me think of my dad. Thanks for the great content keep up the good work.

Haha my dad bought a Stinson station wagon in the mid 1970’s. Ended up having a bent crankshaft, probably from tipping on its nose with the engine running. He sold it at a big loss…

I flew a Stinson Wagon a few years ago, had the 'Big Rudder' conversion, short field was awesome, top speed was ummmm...
But you couldn't beat the nostalgia, it wasn't mine, it belongs to a good friend, he sold it and funnily enough bought an RV... because it was faster. He paid about $45k for the Stinson.

You remind me of my dad, his dream plane was a a Cessna 310 and he was always looking for one and finally found a used one for cheap, after a year and a half of fixing, his plane finally exited the hangar and saw the light of day, it was a massive improvement from his Piper Cub, he said it was the best purchase of his life, he bought it in 2018, took off in 2019 and is flying it to this day, taking us on trips, and short flights!

Hey Jimmy, you should consider taking the jet home and pimp out the interior into a cool AirBnb with full on controls and a flight sim in the cockpit area. Also screens showing SkyKing, TopGun, The Great Waldo Pepper and other flying movies. If you could trailer it to Sun n Fun bet you would rent it out for sure. More fun than a Winnebago. Also a place for your volunteers to sleep when working on the 310. Just think of the possibilities. 😁

You could sit as a passenger, with the fold down tray as your desk, at the window seat. Drag that to the hangar and the Mrs won’t have a heart attack. Just my 2 pennies.

Jimmy, I absolutely love your videos and commentaries. You remind me of me in my younger days. We not only share a similar sense of adventure, but a similar sense of humor as well. Back in the early 70’s, while kids my age were into chrome and flames, I was into bringing classic cars, trucks, and whatever, back to their former glory. One of my best was an old and worn out 1946 Stinson 108-3; the “Station Wagon of the Skies.” I picked it up for $1,600. The bones were good except for a little corrosion in the tail. You know, that little place that nobody can get seem to get into to inspect. That and the engine was toast. It had a well roasted and toasted 6A4-150-Franklin. A fellow I went to school with got me 6A4-165-B5 165hp. Franklin for $500, that needed to be rebuilt. C’mon, it’s like a VW engine on steroids only with two extra round thingies that, I believe you call them, money to noise converters. This thing also came with pontoons, that were used only once. Since my brother-in-law did contractual work for Edo Corporation, in Manhasset, Long Island, NY, they not only refurbed my ‘toons’ but also painted them in the same paint scheme of my Stinson; all for $500. My first flight was 5 months after purchase. When I opened the hanger doors, the previous owner damn near passed out at what he saw. When I pulled out to the tarmac and we were ready to fly, I put him in the pilot seat. And yes, he was the original owner, 1946. He said, “But I don’t have a license.” I said, “Neither do I… let’s just go for it.” I scared the crap outta’ him. All in good fun. 😂

Maybe give Silas the office-Citation project? That would be interesting to follow.
He could get on-line advice to set it up. He may surprise us all!

You need to have a auction of the unused parts. Also take that big saw and cut six foot out of the fuselage and short'en the sucker. This will allow you to turn the cutout section into a Hanger-Head. Putting the remaining sections back together would make a great Short-haul trailer.

That interior stuff would make the back of a Suburban, Yukon XL, or Escalade look pretty sweet inside!

When you set up your studio you could put scenery behind the windows either static or TV screens with moving scenery.

Hey Jimmy...... Cool suggestion. Cut the wings off the Citation and convert it to a trailer. Give great rides to your fans around the air port behind the Tug.

Hey Jimmy love your videos. Stupid thing I purchased was a VW 1976 kombi van after a bottle of red wine on ebay! Felt so guilty to the seller the next day and still purchased it even though it was a rust bucket. Keep up the good work kind regards Terry from Tasmania Australia

Jimmy’s freight delivery service, you could transport airplane spare parts to wherever! Jimmy, your looking at a black hole and you know your having fun with your audience.
Your humor and attitude is great. But you have a hangar full of airplanes currently not fit for flight. Keep at it!!!!!

Jimmy, Dick VanGrunsven was my neighbor when I grew up. He took my brother and I up in his blue and yellow RV (I never knew which model). A great guy.
