Hey Ashley, would you consider making a vid for guys who are 5'8" or shorter? The 'rules' are very different for us. For example, white sneakers + dark jeans doesn't look good on us because it visually shortens our legs even more. Same concept with a white tee peeking out of the bottom of a dark sweater - it creates a horizontal line at our waist. Topcoats and really bulky sweaters are also generally a no-go. Please consider doing a vid on this.

Badass soundtrack too! Real talk tho about flannel, it's always "in", only the details change. Like now, think softer feel, more earth tones and muted colors/less big check-lumberjack-work wear. And now layer flannel shirt over a higher quality solid t-shirt with stretch or "tech"/moisture wicking fabric in either white or a color that matches "pulls from" that same color in the flannel shirt. Then instead of baggy cargoes and combat boots or torn tattered jeans (🎶 Here we are now, Entertain us🎶☠️) Go with the the jeans that'll be your most often worn, hardest working jeans you'll own bc they're classic, versatile enough to rock w/ endless fits: Slim fit, think tailored not skinny dark wash denim. Once you fine that "perfect pair", Google tailor or seamstress near me", take them and every pair of pants you own and have them hemmed to have "no break" aka bunching, and hit right at bottom of ankle/middle of heel/top of shoes. "Taper from thigh all the way down to hem". That's the language you tell them, and they'll know exactly what to do. You'll try them on in dressing room and they'll get to work pinning and taking notes. Leave them with her or him and after you pick them up, your whole look and confidence will automatically shoot up to near 10! Jeans, chinos, suit pants, etc. Fit > brand, price, etc every time. Literally THE most important thing about dressing and instantly puts you in the 3% above 97% of other men. 💯 Well now my work as done writing a men's fashion advice column in this chick's video's comments. Hi Henry! I'm The Writer Guy. Congrats on the boots, bro! They look best with denim. Dark wash, slim, tailored, jeans, no rips, tears, or distressing. But you can also rock them with chinos too! Basically any color other than black! Navy and olive are two colors that look GREAT with brown boots. Now, just remember the little details that matter. Always "match your leathers"/accessories. Make sure your belt is the same color as your boots. Don't wear your black belt🚫 with those brown boots! Same for leather watcg bands and any bracelets. Match them to your brown boots. Be sure to care for them and they should last you for years and only look and feel better in time. Before wearing them out, or as soon as you can, get a waterproof protective spray and spray them all over, including laces and around bottom soles. Allow to air dry completely for 48 hrs before wearing. After every time you wear them, be sure to wipe them down with a lighty damn soft cloth. Then buy cedar shoe trees (Amazon) to help keep them smelling fresh, maintaining their shape, and absorbs moisture. Until you get cedar shoe trees, a quick fix that's better than nothing, any old rags, towels, socks etc will do. Just bunch them up and stuff them inside your boots all the way to down to the toes. Store them in the box they came in, or if you can get some acrylic shoe storage boxes that clear so so see what shoes are inside, and are stackable. Now you're ready to go kick ass in your kickass brown boots that you'll be enjoying for years! -Tré The Writer Guy

I was definitely contemplating dipping into the raw denim scene but it’s a bit intimidating as I don’t really feel all that confident on my fit and size yet. @henrymilleruk100 Brown boots with Navy is little tricky, if it's a chocolate brown to the point it's almost black it's fine but lighter brown doesn't look as good. Selvage denim is kind of going out of style. It's also difficult to wear as the color can come off on a couch if you sit on it

By "tricky" I'm sure he means high maintenance. You have to commit to the process. And it IS a process. And while they're no longer the hot trendy new thing anymore, the novelty has definitely worn off like the dye from the denim on that couch😆 But I'd hate to say "out of style" since its a Japanese based fabric that's been around for a couple hundred years. So it'll never NOT exist, it'll always be around. Like skateboarding, the level popularity in the popular culture comes and goes. As for the light or dark brown w/ navy. Dark/chocolate brown DOES pair better with dark wash denim. As lighter brown, camel, tan, etc will pair better with lighter rinse denim. BUT! That rule is forever. HOWever, there ARE a couple of fashion rules that are made to be broken. You can and should wear white after Labor Day. We have electricity with heaters and a/c now so clothing rules that began out of practicality and comfort no longer apply. You can mix metals in jewelry. And this is a hot take but you CAN mix black and brown. Meaning clothing colors. Still need to match your belt and shoes. Finally, don't let your confidence depend on your weight or size, my brother. Well fitted, tailored clothing ALWAYS looks better on an size body. Going too baggy doesn't hide anything as much as it does to draw more attention and generally look sloppy. Get a pair of dark wash jeans in your correct size and go ROCK those new boots with it!

Yeah for me I just think I’m sort of moving into a new part of my life I’m 30 and becoming a Dad is likely in my not too distant future and I don’t have all the money in the world so I’m just drawn to items that will last and even if they aren’t trending are generally always going to be acceptable. I’m pretty much your average Jo moving away from fast fashion - which is a little bit painful on the wallet 😂 but I’m making long term choices more now.
She is right. This channel is really helpful. If you follow one outfit and where it anywhere in public and look around at a normal suburb male population you will see how much more elevated your look is. It’s a little sad but I never looked around and realized 1 how little it takes and 2 how bad the average guy looks in public. It’s kinda shocking if you really look. I'm mid-40s and wear what I like without caring what other people think, and guess what...It's soooo liberating! Honestly you need to get with the times and update your outfit 'fits'. You're showing models with skinny fit jeans. Really? Some are even slim (which is fine) I guess.... But straight fit is what a lot of 20, 30, 40, 50 etc wear nowadays. Stop living in the years of 2016/17, update your videos, update your fits. It's just the same everytime. Show's you dont really know much about 'fashion fits'.
The stuff about Henly's not looking good on skinny guys is b.s. If it's a long sleeve Henly, then you can push the sleeves up past your elbows & the bunched up fabric with the elastic on the sleeves makes your arms looked jacked
Love the video and your recommendations. Just one objection: leave the joggers for … jogging or throwing out the trash, raking the leaves, or similar mundane activities. Wearing joggers is not putting on an outfit. It’s lazy 🤷🏻♂️
