the WMTA Metrorail has reopen but only certain metrorail lines Is running u can check there schedule to find which lines are running and which one's ain't
I finally rode the metro for the first time in a year since before the pandemic. It was nice to be on the train again. I went to DC to see the stations on the red line that are closed for the inauguration. You can watch my video here if you want: th-cam.com/video/21hlO1X28v4/w-d-xo.html
Could u plz upload Washington DC Metro Silver Line FULL JOURNEY: Ashburn to Downtown Largo now that the second phase of WMATA's Silver Line past Dulles International Airport opened up this past November of 2022?
I know right? I’ve been on the metro and metrobus at least 9 times during a trip to DC to explore the elevators and more. They were less shaky than the RTD Light Rail (I live in Littleton, CO so… yeah). They were fast as well! I got from Metro Center to Gallery Place in like 1 minute to 30 seconds! Here are the paths I took for the metro and Metrobus… Red Line (Kawasaki 7000 Series) From Metro Center to Forest Glen. Red Line (7000 or 6000 series?) From Forest Glen to Metro Center. Red Line (6000 Series) From Metro Center to Tenleytown-AU. Metrobus 30S From Wisconsin Ave NW & Albemarle St NW to Wisconsin Ave NW & Newark St. Metrobus H4 From Porter St & Wisconsin Ave to Porter St & Connecticut Ave (A.K.A The route we took to Cleveland Park Station). Red Line (7000 Series?) From Cleveland Park to Metro Center. Orange Line or Silver Line (7000 Series) (Most Likely Orange Line) From Metro Center to Foggy Bottom-GWU. Orange Line or Silver Line (7000 Series?) (Blue Line wasn’t running due to a Improvement Project) From Foggy Bottom-GWU to L’Enfant Plaza. Yellow Line (7000 Series) From L’Enfant Plaza to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
If you want, you're welcome to look at these 3 videos I made today, January 16, 2021, including the red line stations in downtown that are closed for the inauguration: th-cam.com/video/21hlO1X28v4/w-d-xo.html
58:00 did the train operator change, earlier in video I heard a female operator on the intercom, then at the next station a male operator took her place, the mta in nyc doesn’t do anything ever.
I always wondered what is going on when you hear the beeping sound and the driver slams on the brakes. Does that mean that the train was going over the speed limit?
Lines cross at Metro Center (red, orange, blue, silver), Gallery Place (red, yellow, green), L'Enfant Plaza (orange, yellow, green, blue, silver), and Fort Totten (red, yellow, green). There are other stations marked as interchanges on the map, but they're not really junctions, just where lines split or come together
You would think by now the dc metro would have an updated PA system when I rode the metro I couldn’t really hear what station was up next cause the PA system is kinda muffled sometimes
I've been watching these videos during the pandemic because I miss the Metro so much. I can't wait to be riding the rails again.

I like the 5000 series stand clear beep beep sound.
I miss taking the metro into the city
I will miss the barely audible muttering of the driver calling out the stops. There is something endearing about it.

Nowadays most trains are the new 7000 series that have a computer voice so it's easy to understand. I agree the PA was really bad before
At 54:40 turn your volume down because that's when the train blasts the horn very loudly.
At 56:04 please turn down volume again because that's when the train sounds the horn very loudly again.
