    Thanks for the instruction...just looking into this at this timing. A couple of questions if you have a moment. I noticed you don't seem to concerned about the verticals, as in keeping the camera in center of the vertical height of the room. Any reason for this? Second, your vid does not give the viewer a "walk through" sense of the layout of the home, rather more focused on each room look, except for the baby room into the master. Is this an agent choice and your other videos share more of a layout approach? Thanks, Kirt

      @RiteVisuals  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kirt Germond hello! The camera is generally at hip height as it makes the rooms look grander and nicer, compared to eye heigh which looks awkward. Most times it’s really hard to do a walkthrough from room to room to room because the lighting is so different, one room
      Is dark and warm the next is bright and cool and so white balance and exposure gets messed up easy. This house has really and lighting. Instances where it is possible to do it, I do it but also the agent preferred me to focus more on the details rather then literally showing walking through corridors etc

    and. this. is. how. the. agent. ... speaks. :D great video, though, exactly what I was looking for. One thing I'm playing with for an upcoming real estate job is bringing an additional piece of lighting and a diffuser to illuminate the rooms and some of the applications in close up a bit more. Camera seems to be struggling a bit indoor despite fullframe, probably due to the f4 of the zeiss which is why I'm opting for the tamron 17-28mm 2.8 now (wasn't there when you shot this though).

    • @RiteVisuals
      @RiteVisuals  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I upgraded to the 16-35 GM now, but have also shot a property video with the tamron 17-28 but was really unhappy with it, that 1mm different i found was quite big (surprisingly enough). Bringing a light along is a good idea, it's just something that I can't justify doing - it takes too long to set up, move around the house. I do however offer it as an option to agents and if they wish they can pay more as it's a lot more time consuming.

    Hi! As sony doesn’t support 4K 60fps (only 30 FPS), do you shoot in 1080p at 60fps? Is it enough for good quality?

    • @RiteVisuals
      @RiteVisuals  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep 1080p does the trick! If I had the option I would love to have 4k 60fps as everything looks so much crispier, but these videos are so disposable, the property will sell within a few weeks and the video has no purpose anymore. 4K footage also takes longer to edit (unless you have the newest of new macs that can handle it properly) and most agents want 24-36hour turnaround time. I've shot all of my property videos in 1080p and had no complaints about quality! Hope this helps!

      Honestly I don't! I find it too much effort to have to do it in each room - in saying that, this video is 2 years old and my style has changed quite dramatically, I now shoot in HLG2 and set my white balance a little bit differently but because I'm using a picture profile it allows me to manipulate the white balance in post so much more!

    Hi Rachel. Thank you for the great and very informative video. I am in the process of selecting a wide lens for shooting video. I use Fuji X-T30 camera and my choice is between 9mm F2.8 and 12mm F2.0 primes (13.5mm and 18mm on full frame equivalent). I am leaning towards 12mm because many videographers on internet mention 18mm is most often used. There is also an option of Fuji 10-24mm zoom lens but it is only F4 and as far as I understand a minimum of F2.8 is advisable. May I ask at what focal length do you shoot and which lens would you recommend. Cheers!

    • @RiteVisuals
      @RiteVisuals  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Andrew, I use the Son 16-35 2.8 G-master lens. for quite some time I used the f4 version of this lens, I like 16mm for real estate. In all honesty it all comes down to how much the lens is going to cost and how much you can afford. When I first started doing real estate I picked up the F4 version because I was doing 1- video per month and then when I got to a point of doing 5+ per month I decided to pick up the f2.8 version because it became a wortwhile investment. It's always handing having 2.8 over f4 especially since a lot of houses can have really dark lighting

    Some pro tips in there! Wouldn’t mind seeing a TH-cam story on that wide angel focus setting you were talking about to fix hunting. What focal length are you using most of the time? If I’m being critical, I think the intro is a couple of second to long. But I think the vocals are supreme. Stephen O'Sullivan this video was just an editor cut of all my favourite clips, generally I do multiple takes in the same room!

    Hey, Where do you get the mic mount for the top of the handle bar grips? Where you use it for the Agent speaking?
    Looks so useful to set it up that way. Cheers

      Ahh yes it gets tricky.. You sort of just have to find a happy medium and be content with the fact that the colours will be a bit off!

    Have you ever considered filming in S-log so you can worry about all your color correction in post?

    • @RiteVisuals

      In all honesty - I can't get the hand of SLOG2/3. I now shoot all my house videos in HLG2 but previously when I made this video I wasn't using any

    one of the best and direct videos on real state video, LOVED IT!!
    If I can offer a help, maybe shooting in slog2 or HLG (A7III) will help you a lot with the big light difference between interior and exterior shots and to not blown out the highlights.
    Other than that, your tips were on point, will definitely be using it on my next shoot

    • @RiteVisuals
      @RiteVisuals  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep definitely agree with you! I've never been able to nail SLOG2 so I just stay away from it!

    • @bbrunorocha
      @bbrunorocha 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RiteVisuals try HLG instead ! I've been loving the results i'm getting from it and you can expose just like any other profile (i'll usually do +.3 or .7 but sometimes +1 if backlit )
