I admire your demeaner addressing this issue, not letting these things totally ruin your day or life. This is what us hotrodders deal with all to often. I got a Gen 1 67 gt with a built 460 big block. I spend way more time messing with it then I do driving it. It is "always" something, lol Hang in there brother! You got this. Cheers from Motown/Dearborn.
the aluminum that wore away from the rocker is in the engine also, hopefully it didn't trash any bearings. I feel for you, been struggling with my 86 too!
You got really lucky this didnt cause a valve drop... rockers hitting the spring cups instead of the valve stem like its supposed to could have easily caused the keepers to fly out, ive seen other youtubers destroy brand new engines because of that. Hope theres not too much damage, Id like to see you finally have some good luck..

Damn, that sucks. Hopefully nothing too serious. You going to try and make it to Sturgis?
I’m gonna try! Already bought my tickets and my Airbnb
That sucks!! I would've thought more oil would have came up when you were spinning it over!
I forgot I had the port where the turbo connects open by mistake.. so after this video… I had a giant oil slick on the garage floor 🤦♂️
