- its that time again where i quickly talk about all the games i finished in the year 2023 off the cuff style. self explanatory but as always let me know what games you played and what you think of the ones i played on my own time. thanks for watching and commenting

Finally, a 2023 games beaten video where I genuinely didn’t know about many games. Really enjoyed the video.
On a side note, I hated that section of RE IV remake but absolutely loved the overall game. (I have not played the original)
oh wow you never played the original? thats interesting to hear. but yeah i think i died once at the part shown but the part where i died a few times on was the part where you defend the cabin with all the people trying to get in. it was awesome just like in the original but it was tough even when saving up grenades

that would be awesome to see. i look forward to it and make sure to write everything down because that are part of the reason why i never did them until 2019

This was a great list!
The getting knocked into objects mechanic is in Urban Reign as well and you bet I exploited that as much as possible but I find the enemy tends to take advantage of it more sadly.
Still haven't finished No More Heroes 1, can't be assed to grind money to get to the end.
Looking forward to you playing Painkiller Battle Out Of Hell for EVEN MORE PAIN! Some of the best levels are in that game, though sadly the boss levels suck.
i will try and play the painkiller expansion soon and dont worry it will most likely be sooner then october lol but yeah the knocking into objects in beat'em ups is always fun and i wish we had more games that had it

That cowboy game looks hilarious. 😂 I still need to play that RE4 Remake. Painkiller looks dope! I never heard of that one till I saw you play it. That Shin fighting game looks bad ass! And count those fighting games dude! I sure would. 😂
if i counted fighting games that would boost my list to like 300 games a year easy lmao
A wild Sonic game and a callback to the trophies in Melee! I used to spend hours collecting those and reading all of their info boxes. You know, that would be a great way to find new games to play. Maybe I’ll get back to setting my GameCube/Wii up and pop in Melee.

i loved doing that to with the trophies and that was why i rented custom robos on the gamecube. also another interesting one was that the game had an animal from cubeivor but they said the name of the game was coming soon.

I loved No More Heroes 2; I remember a lot of critics saying that it just kept jumping the shark, but I'm pretty sure that was the point. If you think back to what gaming and the culture around it was like when it released, it stands as a nearly perfect satire of the industry from that era, and the way a lot of it was presented makes me think that was intentional. I do agree that it was both a better game overall, and that the ending theme was just spectacular.
yeah im not surprised given that a lot of critics are always harsh on Suda most times. but yeah id say that is a good way to put it very much is a satire

Out of this batch of games, Famicom Detective Club interests me the most. I'm considering picking up the Disk System games and the new Switch version myself.
I remember watching you play through parts of Painkiller. That was a trippy game with some dark cutscenes.
i forgot the original version of Famicom Detective Club is a disk system game and not a cartridge although sadly there is no fan translation of that version yet but there is the google translate app on phones.

Good list man. I should beat the otogi games have them but just never sit down and played them. Steel rising looked good, and gameplay looked uber smooth. y's is such a good series i should play through all of them that's a series we should get a full comp of.

I wish they would remake dinocrisis it would sell with all the dino hype when jurassic world came out, still should hd remake them
you are so right about dino crisis being a good idea with the new jurassic park game coming they should do it up lol and nice that you own both Otogi games as well. and i would buy a Ys collection if they made one

the background music is the ending theme from fatal Frame 1. to me it always sounded like a song in a Deception game lol

Always been curious about Otogi as a FromSoft fan, sounds like a interesting game. Might have to check it out at some point on YT, seeing as there is no way for me to play it as I don't have an original Xbox. Good video.
last time i checked the game on xbox emulation still has problems sadly. but the day its in the playable status i will play it again. but man i would love a remaster for it

It's true that the grind is less in the 2nd game, but I felt some bosses in NMH 2 were tough, and the camera didn't help at times. Still a 9/10.
Painkiller was fantastic. It's a shame the expansions are disappointing, and they're riddled with bugs (T_T). If you liked Painkiller, you can give Hard Reset. At first, I didn't like it, but after finishing it. The game was a blast, and it has some imaginitive weapons. But I'll warn you, the ending will disappoint you. Still, the replay value makes up for it.
i never said anything about grinding skills. just no grinding to do the story missions wish the first game forced you to do.
hard reset looks kinda cool but id say the closest newer game iv seen to painkiller would be turbo overkill but yeah i love both of these games

If I remember correctly, No More Heroes goes back to the fundamentals of the first game where you are obliged to do jobs (like cleaning the toilet) to participate in the ranking matches. But again, the whole game felt rushed as hell at times.
Turbo Overkill looks great. There's also Warhammer 40k Boltgun!
What game is music from at 8:30 mark? It's sad western music and I really like it. I'm guessing from Wild Arms since I didn't ever play it and sounds like PS1 era JRPG music.
its the same song played throughout the whole video on loop but its the ending theme from Fatal Frame 1. and i agree i does sound very PS1-ish and to me i kinda reminded me of a song in kagero deception 2
