I have scoured TH-cam for a video like this of the Epic. This is THE best way to show ppl around. Thank you for taking the time while you were away to do this.
Just got off the ship. Do not sail on the epic. Way to crowded and understaffed. You will wait in lines for drinks and dining is a nightmare without reservations. The back pool had rust and Soot falling onto people lounging from the stacks.
@@Itz_Kylegaming97 I just finished a 10 day on July 2nd. I agree with your comments. I thought most of the staff were nice. The working people that is.The excursion desk guys were rude. The food was subpar. Even Cagney's wasn't that great. They kept spamming me with voicemail messages and are always trying to sell you something. I noticed the rust and I also noticed a lot of paint that was peeled. I had a nice cabin and a great cabin steward but that can't make up for all of the other negative parts of this ship. One and done for NCL!
I'm going on the Epic next year... when I'm bored I watch youtube video's on the Epic to get a feel for it... I must have watched 10 or 12 of them...... yours was the BEST one!!!!! thanks guys greatly appreciated! you showed a bowling ally!!! I had no idea and a game room wow!!!! absolutely the best tour by far ... the 10 videos I've watched are all about the same.. watching your video was like seeing a different ship! again thanks
Thank you for taking us on a tour of this ship. We will be sailing this ship this time next year on a 10 day cruise in Aug 2025. I can see us spending more time in the upper deck quiet areas, getting away from all of the noise just chilling and relaxing. Thanks again for an excellent tutorial.
Love you guys. I started watching your channel when we planned our Hawaii trip and now we will be on the NCL Epic in September! You give the best tips ! Thank you both 💕
Thanks for the great video tour. I love the Epic. I sailed on the Epic in 2014. It was my 1st cruise on a mega ship. Got a great last minute deal on it $700 per person for a Balcony cabin. The crew were fantastic, especially the cruise director and the washy washy lady at the buffet. The cabin configuration did not bother me at all. Loved all the entertainment and during the day I spent most of my time at the waterslides. I like it so much more than the Escape which I sailed on in 2019.
Whoa you certainly must love it alright, you don't by any chance work on it? lol, just joking. This will be our first 10 day cruise on this ship. It was great to have an in sight tour, I can see myself in one of the bars having a pinacolada and just chilling.
Thanks so much for this video. Excellent tour, and we are now more excited than ever to be on this ship next year. I'm 100% certain we would have never found the bridge lounge without your comprehensive video.
I love the Epic. We sailed on her last September in the Mediterranean. The cabin shower/restroom situation was no big deal although many complain about it. We has a Family Balcony cabin on the 12th floor and the balcony was huge. For meals we loved the Moderno Churrascaria. We also ate at the Cagney's Steakhouse. We ate lunch at O'Sheehan's and breakfast at Taste when we did not want to deal with the crowds at the Garden Cafe Buffet. Unfortunately Splash H2O and the Sports Area were closed for our voyage. Enjoy your trip! Looking forward to your next video.
I’m saving for a Greece island cruise in October 2024. It going to last for 48 days ending in Orlando. This is off season. I’m thinking about spending 5 days at Universal. Four back to back cruises.
I traveling soon and was wondering about this! Is this where the sushi 🍣 bar is?? I love it and did not want to use my specialty pass just to get it. Thank you!
I loved this tour you gave us! Well done. But I'm sad to hear you wouldn't recommend taking this ship on a cruise! Now I am having second thoughts due to your pros and cons video! I am cruising solo and was planning on staying in a solo balcony on the Epic, since I am leaving from Florida to the Caribbean and the Dominican Republic and this is one of the only cruise ships being offered. I'm really concerned because I am 68, it's my first (and likely last) cruise and I want an enjoyable experience. Now what do I do?
Other than the weird bathroom arrangement, narrow staircases and the tiny pool, the ship looks great. My wife and I are sailing on her next September in the Mediterranean. We just finished a cruise on Celebrity Edge and am looking forward to comparing them.
Cancel the trip. And I’m not joking. Just got off the ship and it was a nightmare. Lines for drinks took 25 plus minutes. The back pool has SOOT falling onto the guests from the smoke stacks. Boat is overcrowded and not enough crew to provide good service. The crew is overworked and it shows.
@@Itz_Kylegaming97 I dropped it like a bad habit. I feel for you. If I wanted that crowd, I would take a day trip to NY city. I get enough of lines and crowds at home.
When i was on Epic, 6 times, in 2014, deck 19 was topless nude area. I went up by accident and there was a man laying out in all his glory.😊 Now you say it is crew area, they must have had complaints .
Thanks for your video. Please allow me to add my feedback from my recent Mediterranean cruise from June 22-July 2. Maybe my comments can help someone thinking about booking this ship. It was just me. I booked an inside cabin and paid x2. Being solo I didn't mind the cabin, I actually thought it was nice. I can see how with family it might not work so well. I had a great cabin steward and most of the "working people" were really nice. My pros: Cabin steward, and other "working people", ports (I had 7 in 10 days). That's it for pros. I actually told my cabin steward that he was too good for this cruise line and this ship. My cons: The food in general was horrible. I live in Las Vegas. The cheapest buffet here in town would be better than the one on the ship. It was a joke. Food quality was nonexistent. I didn't expect much from a buffet but I couldn't believe how bad things tasted. The couldn't even make an omelette without burning it. Maybe if they were making it correctly in a pan instead of on a crepe iron it might have been better. Just the overall selection and especially the food quality was subpar. The dining room food wasn't much better. Very hit or miss. I would have the same thing on a different night and it would taste differently. I really enjoy eating in the dining room but never knew if what I ordered would be good or not. To be honest, I was embarrassed for them. This was not the quality type of food you would find in the dining room on a cruise ship. Things would come out cold, salty and taste like they were prepared way before you ordered them. Most the the staff were really nice. But even the servers would tell me they would get complaints on things tasting too salty. What I also didn't appreciate is that they wouldn't even enforce their own dress code in the more formal of the two dining rooms. I was was told to take off my baseball hat in the less casual dining room but people could wear shorts and beach attire in the more formal. I had three nights of specialty dining. I did two in Le Bistro and one in Cagney's. Le Bistro was excellent. Some of the best escargot I have ever had. Two wonderful meals there. GREAT service all around. I had the same waiter two night. He would call me by name and seemed to really care about my dining experience. My interactions with the manager were also good. They treated me like a king. My night in Cagney's was not so good. My filet was perfect but my earlier courses were not so good. A crab cake with so much salt you could hardly eat it and lobster bisque soup that as another passenger put it, "tomato soup with a tiny piece of lobster." The service was just ok. That's my dining experience on the Epic. It really pissed me off that I constantly received voice mails marketing to me. Come on now. I'm on vacation and I can't avoid being spammed by the cruise ship I've paid to be on? There were a lot of things that were just marketing to get you to cruise again. So many places on the ship (events) just getting you to spend more money. The ship itself needs to be retired. Lots and lots of peeling paint all over the place, rust etc... The deck plans and overall layout of this ship are strange, but I knew that going in. It had the itinerary I wanted so I booked it. They changed one of my excursions and never even emailed me. I asked two different people at the excursion desk and both were totally rude. I heard about some other people who's excursions were completely canceled and they were not informed until they got on the ship. One and done for NCL!
Do you still live in Hawaii or are you a full time cruiser. I spend 68 days on NCL ships in 2022 had a great time. I don’t think I’m going to like all the changes in 2023 especially with the higher tip rate.
I like the Epic. I think Norwegian have lost their way a little with their newer designs. The kart tracks for example simply rob way too much space and they seem to dedicate more and more to the Haven. The gym on the Epic is, well, epic! Way better than the little box rooms they put on the likes of Encore.
How bad is the cigarette smoke in Taste and The Irish pub? I am highly allergic and I read anywhere there is a casino game people can smoke. How bad is it overall ship wide?

Sounds great!
Shanghai is not a “specialty” restaurant that requires an additional charge. It is included in the basic cruise price as is the English pub.
Thank you

I’m going to the epic next november. The ship sails from the Pireo Port in Greece
Sounds lovely ❤️
The Epic is cheaper than most NCL cruise and its goes to exotic places.
We loved all the stops ♥️
The Epic main dining and buffet is excellent . Don’t go to the specialities restaurants if you have to pay. The spaghetti at the buffet is excellent .
Thank you for sharing ❤️

hi, great video, thanks ! question! going on the Epic in 4 months, are there any electric plugs near the bed? or they are only under desk?
Not sure. We have a cabin tour you can take a look there
I have concerns about cigarette smoke drifting down to Taste. Is this a problem?
It's not a deal breaker but it is something to note.
I cant wait. Going on this ship in Jan 2025

So does that mean even if you get the wifi package you still need to connect in the internet cafe?
oh no, you can have it on your phone or computer. The cafe is there if you do not have a computer with you and need to use it.
With all the changes is NCL still worth it.
Yes, we are platinum members already :)

That taupe fringed top is so many bad choices. Someone designed it. Someone produced it. Someone bought it and wore it in public.
