NEW Food at Epcot! Festival Favorites at CommuniCore Hall & a Hidden Dessert | Walt Disney World

- After 7 years of construction, Epcot's reimagining is finally complete with the opening of CommuniCore Hall. This new building and festival area is located in Epcot's World Celebration, nestled into the Celebration Gardens and right in front of World Nature. It includes new Meet & Greet space, indoor Epcot Festival flex space, a new Encanto stage show and a brand new food booth called Festival Favorites.
Whenever there's new food at Epcot we feel inclined to try it out. We assume that this new Festival Favorites Quick Service dining window will have a menu that rotates throughout the seasons. It's currently offering arepas, a Coconut Passionfruit Smoothie and a Coconut Tres Leches Cake that complement the adjacent Encanto stage show.
This video provides our complete experience trying out these new items and exploring this new area. We end the video by highlighting one of our dessert hidden gems at Epcot. See our thoughts, favorite eats and whether we think CommuniCore Hall was worth the 7 year wait.

Hi TPF's so happy to see your video today, as always. I am a lover of slaw as well. I believe there was a good one at Regal Eagle to pair with my favorite vegetarian option at Epcot, the Pulled BBQ Jackfruit sandwich. This one looks pretty good. Thanks so much for trying the bean burger. I eat fish and poultry, but tend to gravitate to vegetarian options.

Oh man, we love Regal Eagle. Need to get back there to try that slaw. This bean burger was solid. I wouldn't say it blew me away but it's a good option and I enjoyed it. The whoopie pie is a must! Although, we are disappointed they shrunk it down since we last had it. Definitely need to stay hydrated in this heat 😆. Of course, and thank you for all your support 🙂.
Happy to finally see all the walls down in Epcot. New space remind me of college l. you think after being under construction for so long, they could’ve done something better.
It's seriously disappointing. Especially the lack of shade in front of the stage and the cheap tables. We're happy to have another food window though 🙂.

The vegan coconut tres leches, the black bean burger and the chocolate peanut butter Whoopie Pie look delicious 😋
They could bring the empanadas instead of having two kind of arepas 🫓 in the Festival Favorite booth

I think everyone is disappointed with Communicore Hall, I have yet to see a positive review outside of nice A/C 😬😬 It is surprising that’s all it is considering how long it was under construction😅 but I guess there is hope that during festivals and special occasions it will better!
All the disappointment is bringing ppl together 😂 Hoping to see some changes as time goes on !

I am disappointed to hear that the arepas are anything less than amazing. Carnival Cruise lines do a quick serve arepa that is delicious. Disney should totally be able to produce and even better arepa than those. The desserts looked amazing, though.
The desserts were the stars here. The arepas were basic and honestly nothing note worthy. If we ever end up on a Carnival Cruise we'll have to try the arepas! Despite not being that impressed, we're still happy to have this food window. Hopefully they'll change it up to some with some items that are actual festival favorites though.
