  • This is episode 3 of 6. Walking the magnificent Northumberland Coast Path from Cresswell to Berwick-upon-Tweed. Produced in partnership with the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and Northumberland Coast Path.
    The Northumberland coast offers some of the finest coastal walking in Europe. The Northumberland Coast Path follows this stunningly beautiful coastline for 100 kilometres (62 Miles) from Cresswell in the south to Berwick-upon-Tweed in the north. Alongside sandy beaches, over rocky headlands, past dramatic castles and through attractive coastal villages, the Northumberland Coast Path offers a constantly changing landscape which is a pleasure to explore.

    This area was so special to my wife Jill and I .
    Sadly I lost Jill March ‘21.
    All I have now are memories.
    I do return.
    But without Jill it’s so different.

    You can actually see dunstanburgh castle on a clear day from hauxley aswell.

    On an extremely wet and miserable day it has been enjoyable re-watching the first two stages and watching stage three for the first time. Funny enough I have just received my Northumberland Coastal path Official Guidebook today but foolishly did not order my passport at the same time, so just done that now. Looking forward to doing this route when we get some good weather and noticed the bus when this section first started, which is something I am hoping to do, park up then section hike a stage and then get a bus back, or worst case scenario a taxi. Very informative watch - on the section 4, cheers Alan
