Firefighter here. I found this video to be inaccurate because the police officers did not park directly in front of the hydrants when they arrived on scene.
The police usually have back-up electricity and intranet in case of emergency. And police are usually taught how to act without equipment - unarmed combat, survivalism and legal education are taught at basic training. Usually all the police officer needs is a walkie-talkie and the necessary weapons. But the tech shown in this video is pretty darn good though and I'd be more than happy to have em at our department.
Very helpful to see how these technologies could be implemented to benefit first responders such as law enforcement, firefighters, and paramedics. Wanting to become an emergency medical technician myself, and currently in training, it is very interesting too see how these technologies could help us in the field by increasing job security and efficiency at the same time.
terrible acting lmao but, What is shown in the video seems like a very good system, But the expenses to deploy this kind of technology is probably in the billions.
I call bullshit, Body cameras alone take up that 4 million. Body cameras, Storage, Reviewing the footage, It's not cheap, And it's a constant draw in budget. Billions might of been a high assumption but it's definitely in the hundreds of millions to deploy this across the country.
beastm0de7 As a firefighter with 3 departments, I see the differences with communication and the issues. I believe that it is worth the cost to employ a system like this
Great AT&T commercial. I can't even get LEO's, Fire and EMS to play nice in the same sandbox in my area. Power Struggle you know. What happens when the infrastructure goes down? Then what? Star Trek would be happy.
This’d be badass, but I’d only see it being implemented on Military sites, government sites, and some Higher up departments. Volunteer Firefighters will still get the job done with what they have, and smaller cities too, would be badass though,
They seem to have a strong interest in actually developing this tech for everyday first responders. It might not happen within the timelines they are hoping for, but I think we will see this kind of stuff in due time.
It was only to showcase the ability to plan a helicopter landing. Very little of the scenario makes sense. The firefighting being crushed by an invisible collapse while he's standing right behind three colleagues, who don't even notice, is even less realistic.
First diving in to this video I was hoping whatever technology they where about to show off would actually allow them to respond with some kind of surprising quickness.
It’s the future accept it people. Very cool however! It’ll be hard to get used to but I think it’s awesome for communicating between different departments. Awesome!
On a side note: All of the responders being monitored at 1:55 are suffering a heart attack (STEMI) and would immediately need an ambulance. I'd call that a fail. If you want to add in fancy graphics, look up what they mean!
As a first responder let me explain to you where I feel this would have some issues. #1 almost every scene no matter large or small is very loud! Half the time I can even hear my partner who is 2 feet away. Situations like this are insanely stressful they are able to speak in full slow paced sentences in a real life situation people are on high alert and it makes speaking a lot more complicated. #2 I don’t know if anyone has ever been to a hospital but yeah... those places are busy.. shocker I know... we currently have radios that patch directly to the hospital... guess what people they have even hired to handle the radio get pulled aside to do 100 other jobs that are even more critical than answering ems radios.. #3 SCBA or the fire guys mask makes speaking a bitch they have constant pressure to the mask that as soon as the inhale breaks the seal and allows the hair to flood in then stop when they finish the breath. This makes it extremely loud as well as if they need to wear that device on their chest over the bunker gear or firemen’s jacket there is no way in hell that is gonna hear him.. I could call out Alexa to my echo in a room that only has a rain going and 50% of the time it can’t hear me.. don’t get me wrong with all this I love the idea love love loveeee the idea but there is just no way it’s practical also... the acting sucks and if you have a hospital less that 10 min away I don’t care how fucked your patient is just drive them don’t Medevac
Jimmy Wyckoff I’m also a first responder... I’m an EMT and there are a few things that could help them become more practical. #1 some cellphones today have noise canceling technology where it blocks out the background noise so assuming this is probably going to be 50-100 year in the future that technology should be improved to work with a Bluetooth earpieces that everyone can wear. #2 this is concern could be solved of there was more interest in the medical field so more people could be hired in hospitals to run their specific tasks and their tasks only. Again assuming this won’t happen for some time hopefully we get more help out there lol. #3 just have the mic implanted inside the SCBA As far as the medvac goes you are 100% right hahaha
Iam not a Firefighter but watched a lot of Documentaries and i noticed the following: 1)Oxygen is running out fast 2)Heatprotection is to low 3)Chaotic Overall Situation 4)Finding the fire Problem 5)Zero sight in Buildings 6)Unexpected Explosions 7)Constructions Stability 8)Heavy lifting Tasks
As an EMT, this seems like a HORRIBLE idea. Even though this system would link departments and communications in a better manner then what is currently in place, too much technology interferes with emergency work. Radios are pretty effective tools and for the most part, work just fine. With this technology, there could be delays in treatment and response and god forbid the internet were to fail, or your cell phone/bodycam/tablet ran out of battery, the system would not work.
As a firefighter I can see much of this system not being utilized to it's full potential and seems flawed, many things things take longer than portrayed, delaying other aspects
Very nice and efficient, this will really help Law Enforcement or whoever else will use it! I love it, smart idea, can’t wait to see it. It has to be pricey though.
Some equipment shown has been implemented in other first respondent branches such as hospital staff and fire rescue for some time now but for some reason have stayed there, I'm sure other branches would find them sourceful extremely handy
i would rather see a helmet designed to be worn on scene and in the rig. with a clear visor with radio capabilities so that you can communicate with the driver or dispatch and be able to do a CN. and would not affect the ability to hear your pt or other responders. In my personal opinion this would be the next step in improving responder safety.
Meanwhile in the real world, the building has burned down and the people trapped have died and the fire has expanded to the surrounding building. More people are trapped. Government efficiency at it's best.
The future looks cool, but need better actors lol. Plus are you paying for every county to have this, because last time I checked some counties in the south use barns as fire houses still
Alot places are laying people in our fields off, closing fire and ems houses and cutting funds to departments like it's going out of style. That being said, this is highly unrealistic.
This tech is awesome and I hope it becomes the real deal this kind of tech will help out all of are first responders and dont forget to thank GOD because im pretty sure god put this 💡 in someones mind to make the world a better place it is all thru the power of GOD.
We would never see it here in the states too many things that can break down, our systems good for the most part, has its moments. Itll take to much money to incorporate all departments, inner cities will be first but it wont work when the cities need mutual aid.
Yeahhhhh. I’d settle for a reliable high speed internet connection in my patrol car first. Relying of Verizon mifi that slows down after 25g is not going to make this level of tech possible.
Stop misusing using the term "first responder." That is in a small town. The term you are looking for is "emergency services." How could a person be a first responder when they are THE responder. ------
Firefighter here. I found this video to be inaccurate because the police officers did not park directly in front of the hydrants when they arrived on scene.
and then the internet ist down and everything will colapse...
Smoke will kill all visuals. The system is a bust.
We would run into the same problem the military runs into with individuals that don't know how to operate without the Tech.
nico justfun they will still be taught the way we do it today.
The police usually have back-up electricity and intranet in case of emergency. And police are usually taught how to act without equipment - unarmed combat, survivalism and legal education are taught at basic training.

Unlikely that it would operate with connection to the internet.

terrible acting lmao but, What is shown in the video seems like a very good system, But the expenses to deploy this kind of technology is probably in the billions.
under 4 million
I call bullshit, Body cameras alone take up that 4 million. Body cameras, Storage, Reviewing the footage, It's not cheap, And it's a constant draw in budget. Billions might of been a high assumption but it's definitely in the hundreds of millions to deploy this across the country.
Well yeah if the entire country adopts it.
Odds are it will trickle in over time.
Think thou about all the lawsuits throw out because there was video of the incident. In fact, a lot of money could be saved.
beastm0de7 As a firefighter with 3 departments, I see the differences with communication and the issues. I believe that it is worth the cost to employ a system like this

Star Trek would be happy.
Its the same as in every modern Job, you need to know how to doit without but with it you are get better results.
They are working on ways to make everything two-way capable in the event that happens. Let's wish them luck.
Wonder what type of equipment the S.W.A.T and rescue team will use 👍
Angel Miguel guns
Angel Miguel drones with guns.
Angel Miguel guns with drones
The sociopaths will just want more ways to kill people.
It’s like the ACU from Jurassic World with the heartbeat monitor.
That acting though
This’d be badass, but I’d only see it being implemented on Military sites, government sites, and some Higher up departments. Volunteer Firefighters will still get the job done with what they have, and smaller cities too, would be badass though,

Seems like their focused on everything but putting out the fire and saving people's lives
3.7 miles? Air transport? lol. Stabilize, scoop, run. It'll be quicker.
Glad I wasn't the only one who picked up on the double flight for a distance of 3.7 miles hahaha. Load and go, 10x quicker
It was only to showcase the ability to plan a helicopter landing. Very little of the scenario makes sense. The firefighting being crushed by an invisible collapse while he's standing right behind three colleagues, who don't even notice, is even less realistic.
This is pretty sweet, but would be more realistic if it didn’t sound like they were all reading directly from their scripts.
We can get all that but my department won't get us the stair chairs with the treads lol
I love how the building is that involved and already has collapsed and pd is just getting on scene
First diving in to this video I was hoping whatever technology they where about to show off would actually allow them to respond with some kind of surprising quickness.

you cant diagnose a true STEMI off of one lead.
And call in air medical. Depending on where you live of course

Sebastian Tolls ,also be hackable, know you don't want that!
Sebastian Tolls I know it’s really weird
Welcome to the pre singularity!
Agreed wwaaayyyy to many moving parts and all first responders know most of this stuff only works in text books and movies
Very nice and efficient, this will really help Law Enforcement or whoever else will use it! I love it, smart idea, can’t wait to see it. It has to be pricey though.
technology changing for the better 👍
Some equipment shown has been implemented in other first respondent branches such as hospital staff and fire rescue for some time now but for some reason have stayed there, I'm sure other branches would find them sourceful extremely handy
This look like the seeds of the future for good or "bad" we will fine out .
Anybody know what ever happened to this program? If you go to their site off the main DHS site, all content grinds to a halt about 2 years ago (2020).
this is just cringe
First net, it looks solid in a training sim. Try it on scene. People can't ic or am mange proper face to face let alone over first net.
I wonder what equipment game wardens will use
Slippery slope tracking humans with implants; that's what we're really talking about right (hand implants).
Why in the world is there a battalion chief leading a rescue team of 3 other firefighters? That is definitely not protocol
i would rather see a helmet designed to be worn on scene and in the rig. with a clear visor with radio capabilities so that you can communicate with the driver or dispatch and be able to do a CN. and would not affect the ability to hear your pt or other responders. 0:35 Same Officer's body camera is gone.
They didn't mention the cloaking technology
Meanwhile in the real world, the building has burned down and the people trapped have died and the fire has expanded to the surrounding building. More people are trapped. Government efficiency at it's best.
El Fro that's not how a fire works, also it's slown down obviously to show how it'll work. Maybe use your brain kbyethx
Become the closest cell tower
The future looks cool, but need better actors lol. Plus are you paying for every county to have this, because last time I checked some counties in the south use barns as fire houses still
Bet they still use HK as side arm
Alot places are laying people in our fields off, closing fire and ems houses and cutting funds to departments like it's going out of style. That being said, this is highly unrealistic.
Is this Emergency 11?
You know how slow this is
For me, the video raises a lot of questions and potential red flags. But I'm sure they have experts working out of the details.
This tech is awesome and I hope it becomes the real deal this kind of tech will help out all of are first responders and dont forget to thank GOD because im pretty sure god put this 💡 in someones mind to make the world a better place it is all thru the power of GOD.
first responder videos God does not care about anything
5 years you say? should be due this year if covid hasn't set them back a year or two.
No smoke?? Ha...the smoke would kill all visuals besides when the grid goes, it all goes. Do not invest in stock!
PGPD never even wears this uniform...most hate it lol
May day was originally m'aide said by french pilots during the WW
90% of this is totally unnecessary and will just impede effective response. Look how well trunked radio systems are working
There will be difficulties in implementing this
I really hope this is a joke channel
it isn't
www.dhs.gov/science-and-technology/ngfr
MrRandomanimation all of this is possible
K🔥💡🎬💰🔫😋💰🔫🎬
I will never see this in my poor as county
We would never see it here in the states too many things that can break down, our systems good for the most part, has its moments. Itll take to much money to incorporate all departments, inner cities will be first but it wont work when the cities need mutual aid.

T484 hopefully 5g is as good as they say it is
Lifi connection!
Great acting haha
There is no way that you can get vital signs from a sticker!! I don't like this idea
Lisa Lennox some basics yes but no not in depth, not yet at least. It's possible though.
I mean all a 12 lead is is a series of stickers...
MAke it so
PGPD and PGFD
Wtf. Where in pg county do the police act this way ? Lol
Stop misusing using the term "first responder." That is in a small town. The term you are looking for is "emergency services." How could a person be a first responder when they are THE responder. ------
Good idea but I can see this distracting responders.
Just don't waste all our tax dollars on Wall Street.
Hahahahaha absolutely zero incidents run like this........please tell me my Tax Doll Hairs don't fund this garbage......
Not the best Idea... But ok ...
YAWN.......
davids myname You are right robots is better!
PGCPD
Not gunna happen..... its not going to work. Maybe in the future but for now keep it in Hollywood
Typical, lots of people talking and nobody actually doing.
fake news
